JAWOROWSKI, COMMANDER Performed by the 28 th “Keystone” Division Pennsylvania Army National Guard Band. The 28 th is the oldest division in the Armed Forces and is the most deployed Guard in the nation. The band earned distinction in the defense of Wiltz during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944 and has received the Meritorious Unit Commendation and the Luxembourg Croix De Guerre. It has performed before Presidents, Governors, and Foreign Heads of State. He is a Director on the Board of the USS Intrepid Association and author of “MY SHIP, THE USS INTREPID” , available from Amazon.com Dick Kennedy, AOM 1/C, Ret., a Greenville resident, sailed with 2999 other sailors off to war in the Pacific on the USS Intrepid in 1943 as part of the original crew Don Bee, ABM 3/C, Ret, resides in Greenville and is also part of the original crew of the USS Intrepid that destroyed more Japanese planes & ships than did their sneak attack on Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941
