He is currently the head of business development for Sunset Gower Studios. APR. 11 WITH HANK STRATTON Business insider and seriously talented performer Hank Stratton starred this past summer as Professor Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady at Moonlight Stage. He also directed the University of Arizona production of The Man Who Came to Dinner as well as The Laramie Project at the University of Michigan in Spring 2013. Students bring in songs-in-progress to work one-on-one with star quality guest instructors in several of the class sessions. n MUSIC THEATRE AUDITION WORKSHOPS* Gerard Babb & Lisa Hamilton, instructors Saturdays, June 20 – July 18, 11:00 am – 1:30 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 23 – July 23, 3:00 – 4:30 pm Either five-week session, $275 Challenging and fun, these workshops are performance based and include singing, dancing and acting. Each time you take the class, you build your audition repertoire and increase your comfort level at auditions. Great for new-comers and good for a brush-up. Class sizes are limited. In addition, her students have attended prestigious performing arts programs at schools such as the University of Michigan, UCLA, Boston Conservatory, University of Miami, University of Arizona, NYU, Juilliard, Pace University, USC, Point Park College, Emerson College, UCI, Yale and Northwestern. Each year, Lisa works with a select group of students for auditions for college musical theatre programs. Her personal knowledge of each student and knowledge of musical theatre helps her select precise material for each student, focusing on the perfect 16- and 32-bar audition cuts. Scholarship Auditions

The Professional Arts Education Center offers scholar-ships in music theatre, dance, voice and acting. Scholarship awards are based on desire, potential, talent, and finan-cial need, and are available to students ages 10 and up. Artist-in-Residence One-Day Workshops

universiTy of MichiGan aT psaPROFESSOR BRENT WAGNER, chairman, and CYNTHIA KORTMAN WESTPHAL, assistant professor, both of the University of Michigan’s revered music theatre program, together offer intensive one-day workshops. In each intensive, all-day workshop, Mr. Wagner will lead participants in all aspects of song performance, from analyzing music and lyrics to specific audition techniques for college admissions as well as for stage productions. In a special afternoon session, Ms. Westphal will conduct individual song coachings, discussing music preparation and various performance styles, from rock to traditional musical theatre. Overall, the workshop will give participants a valuable set of tools, techniques and guidelines for future musical work.n Saturday, May 16, 10:00 am – 5:00 pmn College information session: Sat., May 16, 5:00 – 6:15 pmn Sunday, May 17, 10:00 am – 5:00 pmn Tuition is $225.
