Job Placement: The CAVT maintains career placement
assistance for all graduates. Career opportunities are
available in private practice, the federal government,
military, educational institutions, industry, research, andmedical laboratories. To date, job placement for CAVT
graduates has exceeded 95 percent.
Accreditation: The CAVT is licensed by the ColoradoState Division of Private Occupational Schools, and is
accredited by the U.S. Department of Education and the
American Veterinary Medical Association.
Facility Tours: A tour and information session is highly
recommended. Tours are scheduled by calling the CAVT

A Career as a Veterinary Technician: Veterinary
technicians assist veterinarians in all aspects of
veterinary medicine including surgical, medical, and
emergency nursing, radiology, anesthesiology, and
numerous laboratory procedures.
Caring for Animals: Veterinary technology is a caring
profession. Veterinary technicians assist animal owners
to provide care for their animal companions and providethe best possible quality of life for them.
