SUB-HEAD

When you’re writing a brochure,

write it so that someone who has

never heard of your company can

understand what you’re offering as

quickly as possible. Stay away from

using jargon, acronyms, or compli-

cated terms.

If you’re not sure what to write,

make a list of “what we do” and

then a list of “why our products or

services are the best.” Use that in-

formation to create your brochure.

The Home Care Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D) is becoming the benchmark for home care coding certification. Earning the HCS-D credential demonstrates your mastery of coding skills and your commitment to bringing appropriate reimbursement dollars to your agency. HCS-D certified coders are in high demand in the health care setting for their ability to ensure correct reimbursement and reduce the risk of audit. Plus, HCS-D credential holders have the confidence, language and credibility needed for productive interactions with physicians and care providers. Our most successful HCS-D candidates have at least 2 years coding in a Home Health setting. The HCS-D examination contains 50 questions, and you will be allowed 2 ½ hours to com-plete the examination. You will receive your examination results via USPS within 6 weeks of taking your examination. We recommend that those attendees who plan the HCS-D credential examination prepare for the test with self study in addition to this onsite training program. The exam will be offered following this event on January 19.
