document. First time in the country the concept of 3Ps (Profit, Planet, People) in
management education had been implemented in the Post Graduate in
Management curriculum.
During the stay (2003-2004) as Director of Jaipuria Institute of
Management Lucknow, the Institute was totally revamped and the campus
took a new look. It got the NBA accreditation and students’ strength got
enhanced from 120 to 180 with the approval of AICTE and State Government.

program. Within three years, one third of the batches of PGDM (MBA) students
were sent to take one trimester courses at the partner institutions abroad.
Some of the partner Institutions with whom agreements were signed are –
ESSEC, ESCP-EAP, Reims School Of management, Lyon School of
Management, University of Lyon (France); ESADE (Spain); Copenhegan

computational mathematics. His papers appeared in different refereed national
and international journals/ proceedings such as Polish Academy of Sciences,
German Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, Bulletin Calcutta
Mathematical Society etc. His works have been used by the scholars pursuing
research activities in the same area.
His immediate post Ph.D working at Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology,
Pune for approximately four years gave him the opportunity to carry out further
work on computerized weather modeling. During this time some of the
algorithms developed by him for calculating Eigen values and Eigen vectors
were used by researchers at Theoretical Division of the Institute. Those
algorithms were tested using CDC- 3600 systems at Tata Institute of
Fundamental research. (A Package for Plotting the Isoberic and Isothermal Line
charts for Latitude and Longitude wise Values for Pressure and
Temperature (TIFR Bombay ) 1978; A Package for the Determination of Eigen
Values and Eigen Vectors for a NxN Matrix (CDC-3600; TIFR Bombay)
1979.)
The next five years, he devoted in the mathematical aspect of Data Base
Management system while working for CSIR and published an article which
appeared in International Journal of Information, Communication & Education
are used by many teachers in this field. The insight of this area helped him in
15
carrying out work in the field of R & D Management. Two of such pioneering
endeavors during early 80’s received high appreciation from the national level
science planners of India.
Manpower Management Information System for CSIR scientists &
Management Information System for current research projects.
Both of them were published as monograms by CSIR.
For the next eighteen years, he was involved in carrying out research activities
in the area of management information systems at Indian Institute of
Management Lucknow. His articles and working papers (Ref: Articles published
after 1986) have resulted in guiding six Dissertations and the Institute gave him
the responsibility for promoting research as Dean (Research). Many of his
Cases, based on researches are used in the class rooms to highlight new
concepts to the Post graduate/ doctoral students. His research reports, as
mentioned earlier, have helped many organizations in streamlining their
business systems (Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Deparment
of S & T, Sugar and Textile industries, Government of UP, Birbal Sahani
Institute of Paleobotany, Ministry of Finance, Government of UP, Department
of Primary Education (Government of Rajasthan etc.).
He has supervised several Doctoral students and has contributed several
research articles/ conference papers on IT &Systems and related areas in
many National and International journals/ proceedings such as Quarterly Journal
of Electronic Commerce, Journal of Computer Society of India ,Polish
Academy of Sciences, German Academy of Sciences, National Academy of
Sciences, Bulletin Calcutta Mathematical Society, International Journal of
Information, Communication & Education, The Journal of Indian Management
& Strategy, Journal of Decision and Mathematical Sciences, Computer Society
Of India Conference Proceedings etc. In addition to that, he has written many
consulting/ research reports, chapters in books, monograms, working
papers and Cases. He has also developed quite a good number of computer
aided learning games which include simulation game on Marketing
Management, games on Integrated Management and simulation game on Project
Management etc. He has also successfully completed one research project on
“Computer based teaching/training lab” funded by Ministry of Human Resource
Development, Government of India. This lab is intensively used by the students
of IIM Lucknow.
He has been a keynote speaker in many International and National
Conferences/Seminars. Some of his research articles have been judged as the
best papers in different journals published in a particular year. He successfully
conducted a national conference on "Era of e-revolution" as Programme
Committee Chairman under the banner of CSI Lucknow Chapter. He was also
the member of the steering committee for the International Conference on e-
