Enrolment Application Form Enrolment Process We invite you to apply for the enrolment of your child/ren at Border Rivers Christian College by following these steps: Parents wishing to apply for enrolment can obtain forms from our website or College office. Parents must submit a completed Enrolment Application Form and Supporting Documentation for each child in the family, along with the Application Fee of $100 per family, which is non-refundable. Please see the checklist below for other required information. Documentation is to be submitted to college administration. Payment of the application fee does not guarantee a position at the college, or an interview. A school tour is offered before the Principal’s interview. Please call the school on 07 4671 4123 and request a time for this. Applications will be acknowledged when all information is received. Families will then be called for an interview. This interview will allow the Principal or designated officer to become acquainted with the family and discern if the college has the resources, programs and personnel to support each student’s needs. Any offer of a place at the college will be advised in writing, by mail, as soon as possible after the interview. Alternatively, where a place is not available, parents will be advised by mail, and may be provided with the option of being placed on a waiting list for a place in the future. Should it become necessary that a child cannot continue enrolment at Border Rivers Christian College, parents/guardians are required to provide notice in writing to the principal at least two school weeks prior to the student’s last day in class, or provide payment of one month’s fees in lieu of notice.

2. Some of the information we collect is to satisfy the School's legal obligations, particularly to enable the School to discharge its duty of care.

3. Laws governing or relating to the operation of a school require certain information to be collected and disclosed. These include relevant Education Acts, and Public Health and Child Protection laws.

4. Health information about pupils is sensitive information within the terms of the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act. We may ask you to provide medical reports about pupils from time to time.

5. The School from time to time discloses personal and sensitive information to others for administrative and educational purposes, including to facilitate the transfer of a pupil to another school. Such occasions would include where access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others, where access may result in a breach of the School's duty of care to the pupil, or where pupils have provided information in confidence.

9. The School Privacy Policy also sets out how you may complain about a breach of privacy and how the School will deal with such a complaint.

10. As you may know the School from time to time engages in fundraising activities. Information received from you may be used to make an appeal to you. I/we have been informed on school fees, principles and policies, and that I/we have not withheld any

information about my/our child that the College has asked for, and that failure to reveal relevant information

may nullify the enrolment offer.
