With a dedicated manpower of over 750 personnel, ITALIA Group produces
and sells ceramic tiles, glass mosaics and porcelain mosaics under the eminent
brand names of GRIFINE, ITALIA, PALLADIO & PICCOLO respectively.
Promoted by the Poddar Family, the Corporate management of the group
comprises of several members of the family supported by many senior
professionals dedicated to their specialised field of operation.
The vision of the group is to “Beautify the Surfaces” with its wide range of
cladding products.

Mosaic Limited” put up a state-of-the-art
mosaic p lants in Gujarat , India, to
manufacture Porcelain mosaics & Glass
mosaics.
Our plant is ISO certified and adheres to the
Environment Management Standards,
Occupational Health and Safety Standards
and Quality Management Standards. We are
also a member of the Indian Green Building
Council and the US Green Building Council. It
is our endeavour to support the green building
movement.
The Company

The word “PICCOLO” originated in the mid of the 19th century in Italy, which
means “small”. Looking to the form of our mosaics, it was felt appropriate to
adopt the word PICCOLO as the brand name for our porcelain mosaic collection.
PICCOLO empowers you to think of mixing & merging of different sizes, looks
and colours to make very imaginative, vivid, subtle and colourful creations. Our
uniqueness is our flexibility, adoption of new styles, strong R&D, high quality of
designs coupled with high speed execution creating unmatched levels of
customer satisfaction. PICCOLO believes in the concept. Use of small is BIG
PICCOLO porcelain mosaic gives a seamless effect after installation and makes a
small area look larger!
PICCOLO is present in more than 30 countries across Far East Asia, SAARC,
Middle East, Europe and American countries. Our endeavour is to penetrate and
serve many more countries in different parts of the world.
PICCOLO porcelain mosaic is manufactured
at Kaiyal (50 kms north of Ahmedabad city),
Gujarat, India.
“PICCOLO” porcelain mosaic is manufactured
with state-of-the-art current generation Italian
plants and machineries.
PICCOLO porcelain mosaic is manufactured
as per the European Norms as defined in
EN 14411, Group B1a i.e. Test Standards
applicable to vitrified dry pressed mosaic, Osingle fired at a temperature of 1200+ C
where water absorption (E ) is ≤ 0.5%.b

layout, wherein the mosaic placement is parallel &
perpendicular to each other with the specified joint gap.

Formats Techniques
ClassicAn arrangement of “unisize” mosaic not in a regular grid layout, wherein the mosaic placement is
distinct. In classic technique, unisize mosaics are assembled in a pattern which has a common
specified joint gap.
The Classic technique assumes a fixed placement of unisize mosaics, where look/s and colour/s
change as per the design need but mosaic size remains the same. Such unique placement of
mosaic is called “pattern”.
ModularAn arrangement of “multisizes” of mosaic not in a regular grid layout, wherein the mosaic
placement is distinct. In modular technique, multisize mosaics are assembled together in a pattern
with a common specified joint gap.
Modular technique assumes a fixed placement of multisize mosaics, where look/s and colour/s
change as per the design need but mosaic sizes remain the same. Such unique placement of
mosaic is called “pattern”.
Under this technique possibilities of creating patterns are “limited to one’s own imagination”.

DecorationA design made by repeating the modules in all the four directions. In other words, assembling of “required colours/looks” of mosaic specifically placed on a sheet in a particular “technique” in the desired “size/s” and “pattern” to create a module (a unit of one/more sheets), where a module can be repeated in all the four directions without hampering the design.
BorderA design made by repeating a small module in horizontal as well as vertical direction. In other words, assembling of “required colours/looks” of mosaic specifically placed on a sheet in a particular “technique” in the desired “size/s” and “pattern” to create a module (less than a sheet), where a module can be repeated linearly on either side.
