5. Resignation Letters: Chairman Smith at this time chose to read the letters of resignation from Director Blake Shelters and Director Mike Yost. These were read aloud by Director Smith in their entirety.

6. Public Comment: There were 9 public comments offered and all were within the 5 minute time allocation each. You can hear these comments on the audio recording that is on the website at: https://soundcloud.com/jeff-luke-titcomb/december-10-2014-audio.

7. Fire Safe-Fire Wise Community: Special guests Sue McCourt and Nils Lunder were present to advise the board about how to become a fire wise, fire safe community, and how to develop a group of local concerned citizens that will lead the valley, or lead each town in becoming a nationally recognized fire wise community. They informed us that the better organized and active we are the better the chances for grant funding to help with expenses in maintaining a fire wise, fire safe community. There were questions and answers handled at this time. You can learn more about this at a website: www.firewise.org

8. Directors Reports: Director Little called G.M. Lawson and Maintenance Don Silva forward to present them with a special commendation from the IVCSD board of directors for their dedication and service, and specific performance in regards to a massive line failure that was caught immediately, and addressed very quickly. It was recognized that due to their efforts the situation was kept under close control and zero boil water notices were issued during the line failure. Director Little at this time read her letter of resignation from the IVCSD board of directors. At the conclusion of her reading this letter of resignation it was obvious to the Chairman and Board Clerk that a quorum of the board was no longer present, and that according to the district’s legal counsel the meeting was immediately adjourned.
