BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA

Fishawack Roundtable Newsletter September 2015

Some Folks Still Have Not Heard: that the Cub Scout program has been revised with new rank requirements. The new program is designed to be more active and more engaging for young guys. There are new leader guides for den leaders that give excellent meeting plans. Each boy should have the new handbook for his rank. 2015 Fall Cubelos: The Fishawack Cubelos will be October 18-19 at Camp Somers, Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation. BB guns, archery, zip line, sling shots and more, plus camping with your pack. Online registration is through the Fishawack District calendar at www.ppbsa.org. One person should register all campers from their pack. Day trippers should register their own family. Each pack will be assigned a station to run. For more info, contact Cubelos Chair Al Jardines, [email protected]. Fishawack’s Finest Fellowship Dinner and Annual Meeting: Our district annual meeting will be at the Fishawack’s Finest Fellowship Dinner, January 21. Packs are encouraged to hold their recruitment event during the week of September 15-19. Our council will provide all the lawn signs, posters and flyers you need. Fishawack Membership Chair John Cristadoro will offer recruiting training at tonight’s roundtable. For more info, contact Al Thomas, 973-765-9322 x229, [email protected]. Fishawack Cubmobile: November 1 at William Mason School, 5 Shawnee Trail in Montville. Check-in starts at 11:30 am and races go from noon to 3:00 pm. Bring your own Cubmobile or race in one of ours. Online registration opens September 24 and closes October 27 through the Fishawack calendar. Fishawack Klondike: January 31 at Camp Sacajawea in Sparta. Boy Scouts test their winter outdoor skills.
