Day One, Friday, July 12, 2013 Depart from your Gateway City on our deluxe motorcoach transportation. We’ll treat you to lunch en route to our Nation’s Capital. When you arrive and meet our DC Tour Guide your first stop will be a photo opportunity at the White House and a visit to the memorial to the Boy Scouts of America statue standing on the site of the first Boy Scout Jamboree in 1937. From here you’ll take a walking tour of the other monuments and memorials along the National Mall including the Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memori-al, Lincoln Memorial, and Vietnam Veterans Memorial. By this time you’ll be hungry for a welcome din-ner at a local, student friendly restaurant before checking in to our suburban hotel, featuring interior corridors for student safety. (L, D) Day Two, Saturday, July 13, 2013 After a deluxe breakfast buffet at the hotel, depart on a guided tour of Capitol Hill including a tour through the U.S. Capitol Building, the new Capitol Visitor Center, Library of Congress, and a photo-opportunity on the steps of the Supreme Court. Enjoy lunch today at the art-deco-style train depot, Union Station. This afternoon tour two of our fantastic museums from the following collection: the In-ternational Spy Museum, the Newseum-Museum of News, the National Crime Museum, or the Presi-dents Gallery at Madame Tussaud’s. Each museum features special Scout Programs. Dinner this even-ing is an all-you-can-eat buffet! (B, L, D) Day three, Sunday, July 14, 2013 Pay tribute this morning to America’s Fallen Heroes at Arlington National Cemetery with a guided walk-ing tour that covers the Kennedy gravesite, Arlington House and the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Stop at the Iwo Jima Memorial and U.S. Air Force Memorial be-fore lunch. Afterwards stop at the 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon Building and enjoy the rest of the afternoon exploring the national treasures at the Smithsonian Institution. Your farewell dinner this evening is followed by an illuminated monument cruise to cap off your visit.
