    Preambles

    aAll works shall be measured net as laid. Rates

    are to include for all waste, straight or raked

    cutting, any pattern, fixing with sand / cement

    (1:3) mortar and grouting of joints with approved

    coloured grouting material.

    b For wall tiling, rates are to include for the

    necessary hacking of walls as and where

    necessary.

    c Colour and / or pattern, if any, of wall tiles is tobe decided by architect in charge.

    2.01 Supply, spread and level bed of 10 mm

    chippings/sand 75mm (average) thick, over existing

    torba or as where required to make up levels to

    receive floor tiles. Rate is also inclusive for the

    provision and fixing of pvc damp proofing fixed to

    perimeter walls to eliminate dampness due to any

    new finished floor levels.
