•What are you doing this summer? This is the question Excelerate Labs and its venture capital partner Sandbox Industries, an investment of Palo Alto-based private equity firm HGGC, ask 10 of the world’s top start-ups every year.

•Driven by proven, world-class entrepreneurs and investors, Excelerate Labs is an intensive summer program for innovative start-ups. Over the course of 13 weeks, the chosen companies have the opportunity to work one-on-one with exceptional mentors, intensively build their business, and create a huge range of new connections. Each company also receives an initial financial investment from the Excelerate team in exchange for common stock shares. The program culminates in Investor Demo Day, where program participants showcase their progress and pitch their future plans to more than 500 mentors and investors from all across the country.

•Out of hundreds of international applicants, 10 companies are selected each year to take part in Excelerate Labs. Today, the program’s first 30 companies have raised more than $30 million, and participants overwhelmingly report that the program was an incredible catalyst for getting their business off the ground.
