Hymn “Blessed Assurance” Congregational Singing

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!Heir of salvation, purchase of God,Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood. Refrain: This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long. Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of rapture now burst on my sight; Angels, descending, bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love. Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blest, Watching and waiting, looking above, Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

Hymn “Amazing Grace” Congregational SingingAmazing grace! How sweet the soundThat saved a wretch like me!I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see.’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appearThe hour I first believed.Through many dangers, toils and snares,I have already come;’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,And grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me,His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be,As long as life endures.Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,And mortal life shall cease,I shall possess, within the veil,A life of joy and peace. The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,The sun forbear to shine; But God, who called me here below,Will be forever mine. When we’ve been there ten thousand years,Bright shining as the sun,We’ve no less days to sing God’s praiseThan when we’d first begun.

Closing Remarks Reverend Dr. Raymond McHenry

Bobby Jones, 76, of Beaumont, died Friday, January 12, 2018.

Bobby was born May 26, 1941, in Jasper, Texas. He was the first child in a family of six born to Helen Day Jones and Jesse LeRoy Jones. He grew up in Evadale, Texas, and attended school in Buna, Texas. Growing up in the 50’s in a small town in East Texas provided experiences most kids could only dream about. There were horses to ride, which sometimes

included swimming them across the Neches River and campouts with his brothers in the woods behind his home. His selling career began during those teenage years selling watermelons and cantaloupes with his brother Jerry alongside his Daddy.

After a short career as a barber he decided in 1965 he wanted to sell cars. Joe Bob Kinsel, Sr. hired Bobby in October 1965. He continued his employment with the Kinsel Family for over fifty-two years. He loved every minute he spent with the Kinsel Family of Employees. People came and went from the dealership but he never forgot the relationships he made with those employees. Whether those relationships were fellow employees or customers he loved them all

and told them so on many occasions. He loved people, plain and simple. He was an incredible encourager always inspiring people to reach higher and believe in themselves. Bobby’s journey with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ began anew around 1982 at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church. He inspired those he met to join him in that walk. His leadership at Westgate influenced two very impressionable young sons. Derrick and Craig followed the lead of their Dad into service at their respective churches and communities.

Bobby is survived by Gayle Jones, his wife of fifty-two years; sons, Derrick Jones and his wife, Shannon; their children, Avery, Carter and Berkley, of The Woodlands, Texas; Craig Jones and his wife, Cissy; their children, Hudson, Elle and Georgia of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Jerry Jones of Evadale, Texas and Jimmy Jones and wife, Joyce Jones, of Evadale, Texas; sister-in-law, Pat Jones of Evadale, Texas; Linda Jones McMillan and her husband, C.J. McMillan, of Kirbyville, Texas; and David Jones and his wife, Cheryl, of Evadale, Texas.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and LeRoy Jones; brother, Roby Jones; and sister-in-law, Wanda Jones of Evadale, Texas.

Gayle, Derrick, Shannon, Avery, Carter, Berkley, Craig, Cissy, Hudson, Elle, and Georgia will serve as loving pallbearers.
