MISSION STATEMENT: Blessed Trinity Catholic Church Stewardship Community recognizes Jesus is Lord. We believe that
our Time, Talent and Treasure are gifts from God to be used for the spiritual, educational and social needs of
our community, the Diocese and the world at large, especially the poor.
STEWARDSHIP BY THE BOOK
Today’s second reading reminds us that we are the adopted sons and daughters—the
heirs—of God. We are good stewards of our inheritance when we share our faith and
fulfill Our Lord’s command to “go...and make disciples of all the nations.”
WORD OF LIFE
“Reflecting on the healed wounds of the
Risen Christ, we see that even our most
difficult trials can be the place where God
manifests his victory. He makes all things
beautiful. He makes all things new.”

On this Sunday, the week after Pentecost, we celebrate The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity in the Church. We have celebrated this particular weekend in the Church for more than 700 years. Depending on your age, you may recall St. Pope John XXIII who organized and oversaw Vatican II. Interestingly, it was Pope John XXII (1316-1364) who made this celebration official in the Church.
We consider the Holy Trinity to be one of the great mysteries in the Church. It is the mystery of the identity of God. Who is God? God is one God in three Divine Persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Whether we are aware of this consciously or not, this is something each of us acknowledges in a number of ways, especially when we go to Mass. Every time we make the Sign of the Cross, we are making a statement about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
That statement is made often. At minimum it is made when the celebrating priest opens Mass with a sign of the cross. Just prior to the Gospel Reading we do an older version of the sign of the cross by making a small cross on our forehead, our lips, and our chest. The priest concludes the Mass with a blessing, and we all make a Sign of the Cross.
There are so many other times before, during, and after Mass when we make the sign or the cross, and there may be other times in our daily lives when we do it. Pope Francis has said, “Every time we make the sign of the cross, we draw closer to God.” Perhaps we should do it even more often. Copyright © 2018www.THECATHOLICSTEWARD.com

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION Commemorate the gift of the Eucharist with the Feast of Corpus Christi Procession! The Feast of Corpus Christi (The Body and Blood of Christ), is on Sunday, June 3rd. We will be having a special Corpus Christi procession open to all ages in the English and Spanish communities after the Spanish Mass around 2:30. It will consist of processing to four different altars around the outside of the church to pray, sing, and honor the precious Body and Blood of Christ in different ways. The procession will be outside so please feel free to wear comfortable clothes, bring an umbrella, and come hydrated! Contact Aimee Ruiz with any questions at [email protected]. Hope to see you there!
“MERCY INN & RV PARK” The “Saving Mercy Motor Inn” now has a name (at least for now). It is called “Mercy Inn & RV Park.” Eventually it will have that sign on SR 40—instead of “Motor Inn.” The 501c3 “Saving Mercy” charity is still the charity where we place all tax deductible donations. So please continue to make out checks to “Saving Mercy.” All funds donated to Saving Mercy will be used 100% for the homeless. And while we were extremely blessed to come up with the down payment in such a short time, we still need, now more than ever, donations to get “Mercy Inn & RV Park” up and fully operating.
GRADUATES Congratulations to ALL our graduates from Angels in Arms, from grade schools, high schools, from colleges and universities. We are proud of ALL of you. We thank God you are using your time and talents He gave you.
Enjoy the next phase of your journey. Remember He is with you all the way. And you always need Him. We thank your parents, siblings, grandparents and extended family members. We especially thank your teachers. God Bless all.

through the heroics of a “FEW” throughout the world who makes the sacrifice of praying all night.
