Divine Mercy Devotion From the diary of a young Polish nun, a special devotion began spreading throughout the world in the 1930s. The message is nothing new, but is a reminder of what the Church has always taught through scripture and tradition: that God is merciful and forgiving and that we, too, must show mercy and forgiveness. But in the Divine Mercy devotion, the message takes on a powerful new focus, calling people to a deeper understanding that God’s love is unlimited and available to everyone — especially the greatest sinners. The message and devotion to Jesus as The Divine Mercy is based on the writings of Saint Faustina Kowalska, an uneducated Polish nun who, in obedience to her spiritual director, wrote a diary of about 600 pages recording the revelations she received about God’s mercy. It is a message we can call to mind simply by remembering ABC. A — Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer constantly, repenting of our sins and asking Him to pour His mercy out upon us and upon the whole world. B — Be merciful. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it flow through us to others. He wants us to extend love and forgiveness to others just as He does to us. C — Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that the graces of His mercy are dependent upon our trust. The more we trust in Jesus, the more we will receive.

Devoción de la Divina Misericordia Una devoción especial se comenzó a esparcir por el mun-do entero debido al diario de una joven monja polaca en 1930. El mensaje no es nada nuevo, pero nos recuerda lo que la Iglesia siempre ha enseñado por medio de las Sagradas Escrituras y la tradición: que Dios es misericordioso y que perdona y que nosotros también debemos ser misericordiosos y debemos perdonar. Pero en la devoción a la Divina Misericordia está basado en los escritos de la Santa María Faustina Kowalska, una monja polaca sin educación básica que, en obediencia a su director espiritual, escribió un diario de alrededor de 600 páginas que relatan las revelaciones que ella recibió
sobre la Misericordia de Dios. Aún antes de su muerte en 1938 se comenzó a esparcir la devoción a la Divina Misericordia. El mensaje de Misericordia es que Dios nos Ama – a todos- no importa cuan grande sean nuestras faltas. Él quiere que reconozcamos que Su Misericordia es más grande que nuestros pecados, para que nos acerquemos a Él con confianza, para que recibamos su Misericordia y la dejemos derramar sobre otros. Dios quiere que nos acerquemos a Él por medio de la oración constante, arrepentidos de nuestros pecados y pidiéndole
que derrame Su Misericordia sobre nosotros y sobre el mundo entero . B — Sé misericordioso – Dios quiere que recibamos Su Misericordia y que por medio de nosotros se derrame sobre los demás . C — Confía completamente en Jesús – Dios nos deja saber que las gracias de su Misericordia dependen de nuestra confianza. Mientras más confiemos en Jesús, más recibiremos.

Es un retiro espiritual organizado por las mujeres de nuestra parroquia de Blessed Trinity, que han sido tocadas por el
Espíritu Santo y quisieran compartir esa experiencia contigo. Es una gran oportunidad para encontrarse a solas consigo
misma, para crecer espiritualmente y reavivar tu relación personal con Jesús.
Se pide una donación de $75 dolares para cubrir gastos de estadía y comidas.
Si no puede cubrir la donación, por favor haznos saber y podríamos ayudarles.

The Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary invite you to accompany them in a Eucharistic Cenacle on Friday April 28, beginning with a rosary at 7:30 PM, followed by Holy Mass, a time of Adoration and Praise before the Blessed Sacrament followed by prayer for the sick and intercession for all the needs of the Church and the world. Las Siervas de los corazones traspasados de Jesús y María lo invitan a que les acompañan en un Cenáculo Eucarístico el viernes 28 de abril, comenzando con un Rosario a las 7:30 PM, seguido por la Santa Misa, un tiempo de adoración y alabanza ante el Santísimo Sacramento y acompañado por la oración por los enfermos e intercesión por todas las necesidades de la Iglesia y el mundo.

Reporting Child Abuse is the right thing to do
Child abuse can happen anywhere, even in the home, and for families placed in this horrible situation, reporting abuse can be very difficult, but it is critical to do so in order to protect children. Adults must first act to stop the abuse by being alert to warning signs. If discovered, report abuse to the proper authorities. To report abuse or the suspicion of abuse call: DCF at 1-800-96-ABUSE (1-800-962-2873).
