• The Government of Bitung City make a regulation about less plastic in Mayor regulation no. 70 year 2018”

• The Government of Bitung City signing MoU with all Fisheries Company and all Mini Market, Super Market, Modern Market and Traditional Market in Bitung city to reduce plastic waste :

1. For the traders must replace the plastic bag with the provided card box

2. For all Fisheries Companies, the government of Bitung will check the cargo of ships “Logistic Manifestation” so that no plastic brought by fishermen is disposed of in the sea.

3. All of the government staffs are obligated to use tumbler (reusable bottle) everyday in the office or at any meetings.

In Jan 14th 2019 Bitung received the AdipuraAward for Major regulation about Less Plastic
