Due to the composition of active agents such as tannicacid, Castanea sativa alleviates gastrointestinal disorderscaused by bacteria, fungi or protozoa. MoreoverCastanea sativa has anti-inflammatory and antispasmodicaction, thus supports the digestion and absorption ofnutrients.
Oregano is composed of thymol and carvacrol. Theirmain mechanism of action is based on the bacteria cellperforation which affects in their life cycle disorders.Moreover, they inhibit the effectiveness of enzymes whichcreate high‐energy combinations crucial for the bacteria’ssurvival (Shapiro s., Gugenheim B. 2007).
