Openness

Features characteristics such as imagination and insight.

EXAMPLE: Someone who is very artistic and creative.

Emotionality, Adventurous, Intellect, and Liberalism.

Conscientiousness

High levels of thoughtfulness, with good impulse control and goal-directed behaviors.

EXAMPLE: A person who tends to be well organized and mindful of details.

Self-Efficacy, Achievement striving, Cautiousness, and Self-disciplined

Extraversion

Marked by a pronounced engagement with the external world.

EXAMPLE: Someone who is sociable and talkative.

Cheerfulness, Excitement-seeking, Assertiveness, and Fun-loving.

Agreeableness

Reflects individual differences in concern with cooperation and social harmony.

EXAMPLE: A person who is sympathetic and is kind towards your feelings.

Trust, Modesty, Morality, and Altruism

Neuroticism

Originally used to describe a condition marked by mental distress, emotionally suffering, and an inability to cope.

EXAMPLE: A person who has anxiety, mood changes, and is self-conscious.

Depression, Vulnerability, Anger, and Immoderation.
