About this Report

This report presents a bibliography of publications concerned with salinedisposal basins, including issues of leakage and drainage associated withbasins, and related background material. The publications listed encompassboth local and regional saline disposal basins.

This bibliography has been prepared as part of a project carried out byCSIRO Land and Water, in collaboration with the CRC for CatchmentHydrology and other agencies, concerned with the siting, design andmanagement of local saline disposal basins on the Riverine Plain of theMurray-Darling Basin. This three-year project has been in part funded bythe Murray-Darling Basin Commission under their Strategic Investigationand Education Program (Project I7034 Managing Disposal Basins for SaltStorage Within Irrigation Areas).
