A C C O M P L I S H M E N T S A T C G LDuring the period of my employment with Crompton Greaves Ltd. (CGL), I was introduced to Software programming in 1986. With my own initiatives, I tried to automate the systems in my Department i.e. Corporate Salaries. During the period from 1986 to 1996, I automated the following activities:

1. Payroll Processing and Income tax calculation program, with which we could distribute the Form 16 in first week of April, every year (from 1996 to 2004). This program was also used by some of other Divisions in CGL.

2. Provident Fund & Superannuation Trust Members Balances and printing of Annual Statement of Account, also automated the processing of Settlement of dues.

3. Printing of Form 3-A and 6-A for un-exempted provident Fund

All these programs were designed and coded by me and maintained till I was with Crompton Greaves Ltd.

From June, 1996 to July, 2000 I was assigned a job of System Administrator at Crompton Greaves Ltd.’s Corporate Office. During this period, in addition to maintaining the programs written by me, I was entrusted with following tasks:

1. Maintaining Windows NT Server and MS Exchange and CCmail server.2. Form a Back-up strategy and implement it. For servers as well as individual PC’s.3. Ensure that no virus should disturb the system.4. Help the co-workers to solve their day-to-day problems.

At end 2000, I was again called back to Corporate Salaries as a Head of the Department. During 2001 to 2007, in addition to my regular jobs and maintenance of Payroll Software, I was a core team member of Web based HRMS, which was implemented from 2005.

• Customization for AFCONS specific requirement

• Cafeteria components, which are part of the monthly salary, should

not be taxed till January every year.

• Salary for employees deputed abroad should not be taxed in case the

employee is out of India for more than 182 days. A function is

developed to calculated number of Deputation days during the year.

• If an employee is in India for more than 60 as of 31st March, then

salary paid during his /her deputation period should be added in

Current year’s taxable income and tax to be recovered from him/her.

• Total eligibility of the Cafeteria components to be displayed in Pay slip.

• Create Wage types to capture the receipts submitted by the

employees and provide exemption for these amounts, within eligibility

• HRA paid to SITE employees is not part of the Basic Pay, but paid on

monthly basis, after receiving intimation from SITE HR. Exemption to

be calculated in case the employee submits Rent receipts.

• Automating payment of Hardship allowance and calculating Exemption.

• All these requirements met by writing PCR’s.

• Creating Symbolic Accounts for all applicable GL Codes and assigning to

Wage Types

• Customize Feature PPMOD to take care of different GL Mapping.

• Created LSMW for uploading Time (IT0007, IT0051)/Payroll (IT0008,

IT0581, IT0582, IT0583, IT0584, IT0585, IT0586 etc.) related data in the

system.

• Customizing Pay Slip as per the AFCONS requirement in PE51. Also

created specifications for Pay slip using HR Forms.
