Dear Church Family, Welcome to Bible Center! Just
last Sunday, I met several new friends to Bible Center. I hope you, with them, feel welcomed and experience the Lord’s grace and His Word speaking to you as you gather with us. Thanks for choosing to come today. We are honored that you join us.
You have heard it said, “Don’t make a mountain out of a mole hill.” That is wise advice. But how do we make a mole hill out of a mountain? In a broken world, we face some huge issues…mountain ranges of stuff . We all adopt some strategy to face the mountains. Not all of those strategies are the same. How do you face mountains? Have you ever seen God reshape a mountain into a mole hill? Mole hills are much more negoti able than scaling those mountain tops. Where does God fi t into our strategies? Is it all on us? How do we face hard things? Do we face them with Jesus Christ? These questi ons are before us in Zechariah 4 this morning. What if
God has brought us together for the purpose of retraining us in mountain-top removal? We’ll all be leaning into the Spirit of God as we face the mountains ahead.
My dad’s birthday is this week. He would have been 79. The memory of his infl uenti al life makes me want to take advantage of today and make the most of it. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity to be found responsive to the Living God. Our days are so few. Let’s fi ll ours with obedient hearts.
Keep going,
Eric MountsS P
