Having talked very much about the Berlin Wall over the past couple of days, we saw how much of an effect it had not only on Europe, but on the world. The Berlin Wall was so important, that when it finally crumbled on November 9, 1989, the world as people knew it changed. The headlines of newspapers around the world read things such as “Berlin Wall Tumbles” and “Berlin Wall Open At Last.”

What I would like for you to do for this assignment is create your own newspaper front page for November 9, 1989, the day the wall fell. You must have a name for your newspaper, a catchy headline, as well as include a ten-sentence article explaining all aspects of the wall. You must also include a large hand drawn picture that goes along with your article.

You will need to do some outside research for this assignment and the Internet is a great source. Please include a bibliography sheet that tells me where you received your information, and please remember our rules on plagiarism. If you wish to use something directly from a source, please be sure to include “quotations.” I will give you a couple of days to complete this assignment.
