Berendsen Hotel trolley - Concept design and marketing materials In order to improve the working environment for hotel staff, Berendsen and 3PART together developed an intuitive and user-friendly tool in the form of a modular 2-part hotel trolley. The modular design makes it possible to tailor individual solutions for hotels of different sizes and types. The trolleys are electrically powered and operated via two large vertical handles. Idea generation and design development: An outline of the work was started based on the results of the research phase. In this time there were regular meetings with the client. This phase resulted in 3 different design concepts, one of which was selected for full-scale testing. Validation: Before the final concept was accepted, the aforementioned stakeholders were asked for their opinions. Their validation was a very important factor in finalizing the concept.

Preparation of marketing material: The new design was supported by internal marketing material built around the unique benefits incorporated into the product.

Presentation videos: As the product was going to be presented through presentation videos, 3PART was responsible for the planning and preparation of two videos.

Solution: The project resulted in a new service concept for the transfer of linen. The profile of Berendsen as a leading supplier of linen was enhanced and the comprehensive solution provides benefits for the customer. Every day.

Assignment: Berendsen provides linen for hotels and restaurants. To meet increasing demands in the workplace, it was necessary to develop a helping hand to the staff who handle linen carts. The solution was an electrically-powered service cart that can be coupled with a linen trolley to form part of the hotel’s logistic.

Process: 3PART engaged in a dialogue with Berendsen in defining and focusing the required task.

Research: Before initiating the work on the design of a new service concept, 3PART interviewed stakeholders, such as cleaners, maids and hotel managers. A substantial amount of knowledge was acquired, which improved the overall quality of the final design.

Workshops: Employees from various sectors participated in workshops during the initial process. The purpose of the workshops was to involve employees in the project in order to achieve the best results and to give them a sense of ownership. 3PART was responsible for the planning and
