3rd Annual EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE on Saturday,

April 5, 2014

Featuring sessions by Terrie Springer and Linda Azure. This conference is open to educators, administrators, parents, tutors and anyone with a desire to make a difference in chil-dren/adults with learning challeng-es. Keynote Sessions include Read-ing in the Content Area and De-veloping Vocabulary in the Con-tent Area. The goal of reading is functional use for recreation and learning. Join Ter-rie Springer as she presents tips on ways for teachers to guide weak readers through required content material. A rich vocabulary is vital for both comprehension and expres-sion. Word knowledge requires in-vestigation, analysis, connection, and practice. In this presentation, Linda Azure will share activities for vocabu-lary building and strategies for word recall along with visual organizers and games to facilitate vocabulary acquisition and retrieval.
