Each prayer, card, call and visit has blessed us.

Discover Your Spiritual Gifts—#2
A spiritual gift is an expression of the Holy Spirit
in the life of believers which empowers them to serve
the body of Christ, the church.
And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second
prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings,
helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues.
1 Corinthians 12:28
Persons with the gift of administration lead the body by steer-
ing others to remain on task. Administration enables the body
to organize according to God-given purposes and long-term
goals.
Is Administration YOUR spiritual gift?
Are you using it for His glory?

Would you like to remember someone’s birthday or anniversary by
placing flowers on our altar one Sunday? We still have dates that
are available: August 7th, August 21st & August 28th—just
to name a few. Doesn’t have to be a birthday or anniversary; can be
just telling someone how much you appreciate them. Call the office
to reserve a date.
DO WE HAVE YOUR BIRTHDAY OR ANNIVERSARY DATE??
WE DON’T WANT TO FORGET YOUR “SPECIAL DAY” CALL THE
OFFICE SO WE CAN ADD IT TO OUR RECORDS.
We will spend this month celebrating the unique freedoms that we enjoy
as citizens of the United States of America. With all of the internal prob-
lems we’ve had over the last several years, we are still the greatest and
freest nation on earth. Yet, we have seen those freedoms slowly eroding
over the last few years.
In the face of these eroding freedoms, Christians have been praying for
God to intervene and restore us. We’ve prayed and prayed, but the erosion
has continued. In spite of calls for reform, we have devolved from a slow
drift away from God to a fast track of rebellion into godless selfism. Our
prayers have gone largely unanswered because we are praying for the
reformation of the wrong people. We’ve prayed that our “leaders” and our
“country” would turn to God, when we should be praying for the group
most in need of spiritual reformation – us, me, you.
As our churches celebrated our freedom to worship, many believers will
exercise their constitutional right to NOT worship, but to go someplace
else. As we fight to defend our freedom of speech, we will often fail to use
that right to speak freely of Jesus to those with whom we work, play, shop,
and live. We bemoan the loss of freedom to pray publicly, yet we neglect
private prayer on a regular basis. Jesus remains a part of our lives, but He
is not preeminent. (Colossians 1:18) We have squandered the freedoms
God entrusted to us. He has told us in His word, “Everyone to whom much
was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they en-
trusted much, they will demand the more.” – Luke 12:48
It is time you and I recommit ourselves to a radical obedience to God and
His Word. The time is here for us to once again recognize that God comes
first and to put away the idols of play that we have erected in our lives. It
is time to ask the difficult question: what have I done with the freedom
God has given me, and moving forward how will I make the most of the
freedom I have left for the glory of God?
Jim Duggan
Everyone in the children’s department is super excited about the month of
July because that means it will be time for VBS!! If you haven’t had the
chance to experience VBS at Bellevue then you have missed out on a wonder-
ful blessing. Please be in prayer for all the workers and children. We are
looking forward to seeing to our God showing himself to us in an incredible
way during the week. I am sharing the verses and focus of the lessons for
each day so that you can pray for them specifically. Pray that God will move
in the hearts and minds of those in attendance. I know he has GREAT plans
for us to become “SUBMERGED” in his word. Please see Donna or Lisa if
you would like to be a part of this incredible week!!

Psalm 23: 1-3 says, The LORD is my shepherd: I shall not want. He makes
me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He
restores my soul ; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s
sake.”
Psalm 35: 9 says, “And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD; It shall
rejoice in His salvation.”
Isn’t it time we got that bucket out and dropped it deep into the well of our
Souls and emotions for our Living Lord and Savior and began as never before
to “rejoice in our salvation?” As I’ve said before, “We’re just rehearsing
On earth for that great praise gathering in eternity.” Are you ready?
Blessings! Bro. Harry
VBS July 10th-July 14th
5:30-8:30pm PATTI AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW HOW MUCH WE
APPRECIATE all the concer ns and suppor t you have shown us in these
past months. Every kind word, card of encouragement, meal prepared, and most importantly your prayers have meant so much to us and our
family. We, like many others around us, have felt our share of life’s pound-
ings, and most especially with the unexpected passing of Patti’s brother, Jeff
Mayes. You graciously opened the doors of our church to my extend- ed family in a real time of need to provide a beautiful place for us to remem-
ber our loved one and celebrate his life together. You have expressed your
concern for us so many times in our recurring periods of hardship
and grief. Thank you for being our church family and continuing to lift
us up before our Heavenly Father. We are truly grateful to you and
continue to covet your prayers for us!
WORSHIP IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIVES IS VITAL TO OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST. We’re continuing our look into
the “phases of worship” from Mark 12: 29-31. We examine the phrase,
”with all your heart” in May and the phrase, “ with all your mind” in June.
Let’s move to “ with all your soul.” Now this is the place where we can draw from the depths of our lives, and express from the very fiber of
our being, our worship and celebration of of Jesus, our Lord. The Lord wants
us to love Him with the full expression of our emotions. It’s OK.
It’s natural. We do it all the time with other people and at other events. Why not with our Savior and in the “corporate worship event?” There are times in
worship when we will shout, cry, whisper, sing and SMILE! Our normal re-
sponse to those we love is not one of a cold or “at arm’s length” expression,
but one of warmth, embracing and transparency. We say we love the Lord. Isn’t it time to respond to Him emotionally? Is it OK to be emotional with
Jesus?
LET’S LOOK AT GOD’S WORD.
Psalm 63: 1-5 says, “ O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul
thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and
Your glory. Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, My lips shall
praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your
name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.”
Psalm 103: 1-2 says, “Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me,
bless His Holy name! Bless the LORD , O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”
