Corporate Principles and Code of Conduct
of the BEGO Group
In this Code of Conduct we have bindingly enshrined our standards and expectations for our daily conduct with the
aim of rendering our business perfectly ethical.
All directors, managers and employees are committed to these principles worldwide. The managers have a special role
model.
1. General principles
The customer orientation, profitability, progress, partnership and responsibility formulated within the Company Mission
Statement are the key elements of this Code of Conduct.
When dealing with our customers, business partners, employees and owners, we always take care to act fairly and with
integrity.
We offer our clients the best results with system and product solutions and services that are safe, environmentally friendly,
socially beneficial and economical. Hereto we contribute our: Professional competence, commitment, flexibility and innovation.
Our commitment to the ethical and legally correct exercise of our business is inextricably linked to the way we behave in our
business. Our corporate activity has always been based on the following principles: Togetherness, competence, fairness,
transparency and reliability.
In our business, we obey the law applicable to us together with the established codes and standards, avoid conflicts of interest
and respect the customs, traditions and social values of the countries and cultures in which we operate.
We expect and encourage our business partners to themselves introduce comparable ethical principles based on the applicable
law and recognised values. We expect them to maintain these whilst working with us.
2. Responsibility towards the company and employees
In our opinion, responsibility is a key factor in the long-term success of our company and therefore an indispensable part of our
value-based management.
Our business practices are committed to the principle of sustainability. Growth and job stability are key success factors for
BEGO. We observe the following business principles:

partners and the public.
Business objectives

The safety of our employees and customers is our top priority and is one of the core values of BEGO. Together, we provide a
safe working environment and ensure the safety of our products.
Occupational safety and Health
Consistent, preventative work safety measures averts hazards to people and supports the health of our employees by providing
good working conditions. The safety and health of our employees is a top priority of our business. Simultaneously, occupational
safety is also the responsibility of every employee.
Hazards are to be avoided through foresight, prudence and safety conscious behaviour. Short comings in work safety must be
reported to the appropriate manager.
Environmental safety
We are committed to the principles of sustainable management and environmental protection as a business value. We promote
appropriate measures for dealing with relevant environ mental effects.
3. Conduct of our employees
All employees are required to comply with the applicable BEGO rules.
Public Activities
Employees affect BEGO'S public image. We take care to always meet our customers and business partners in a friendly,
courteous, modest, open, knowledgeable and service-oriented manner.
Suppliers
We form long term partnering ties with our suppliers. From them we expect reliability, flexibility, performance and innovation.
Confidentiality
All information regarding the business activities of BEGO which have not been published and is not generally known is
confidential. This also applies to information from third parties such as, for example, business partners, which are obtained as a
result of our work at BEGO. We shall not use the results from our internal business processes knowledge for private purposes.
The business-related communication with the media and the general public generally falls within the responsibility of the BEGO
company group Public Relations / PR and the management of BEGO group.
Prevention of conflict of interest
We avoid situations in which a conflict of interest between personal or own financial interest with the interests of BEGO or our
business partners may arise.

In conflict situations, the interests of BEGO must not be compromised. The work-life balance remains unaffected. Secondary
activities and investments in competitors or business partners must not give rise to the risk of a conflict of interest. Internal
process managers for compliance must be informed of any actual or perceived conflict of interest.
BEGO encourages its employees to get involved in social issues in public functions, clubs and civic action, to the extent that
these commitments are not in conflict with the legitimate interests of BEGO.
Invitations and gifts
Invitations and gifts in connection with our work at BEGO may be accepted or issued within the framework of internal regulations
if they are reasonable and do not take place in expectation of an improper payment or other favours.
The same applies to the giving or accepting of gifts or other benefits or advantages of any kind.
4. Relationships with competitors, officials and business partners
BEGO addresses the needs of customers, suppliers and business partners and handles them honestly, responsibly and fairly.
Corruption
BEGO does not tolerate corruption or other unfair business practices by employees or third parties. Incentives, privileges or
benefits which could affect the ability to make objective and fair business decisions, are neither offered nor accepted by us or by
our authorised third parties.
Behaviour with respect to Officials
Tangible and intangible benefits of any kind to employees or representatives of state institutions or their members are
prohibited.
We respect and take into account the regulations that public institutions, associations and other organisations establish for
dealing with their employees. This is especially true for administrative and other officials in the health sector.
Political parties
Donations of any kind to political parties, their representatives and elected officials and political candidates are also prohibited.
Business partners
We expect our business partners to align their activities with the principles outlined in this Code of Conduct. The collaboration
with our business partners is characterised by a fair, reliable and stable partnership.
Consultants / agents / Intermediaries
Remuneration of consultants, agents and intermediaries must be proportionate to the services and may not be used to obtain
improper advantages for business partners.
Competition and Anti-trust
We comply with the relevant anti-trust regulations and do not undertake any arrangements that affect the prices and conditions
or otherwise unduly restrict fair competition.
Donations / Sponsoring
BEGO supports education and science, as well as the areas of sport, art and culture. The award of a donation must be
transparent and documented.
Donations may only be made on a voluntary basis and without expectation of services in return.
Sponsoring measures may not have any concealed promotion of interests.
Donations to political parties and religious communities are not permitted.

5. Responsibility towards the owners
Actions taken by BEGO are characterised by responsibility and transparency towards our owners. The protection of corporate
assets and the sustained increase in the company value belong to the objectives of our business activities.
Protection of business assets
Company property and all work equipment provided by the company for operational purposes may only be used for company
purposes and must be handled with care. Company property may not be sold, rented or used for unsuitable purposes without
express permission, regardless of its condition or value. All employees are required to protect BEGO assets within the scope of
their activities and act with honesty and integrity when dealing there with. Fraud, corruption or other criminal acts will not be
tolerated. Allegations of misconduct are investigated to the extent legally possible and take into account data protection
regulations; in case of confirmed misconduct appropriate measures will be taken.
Reports
Company reports and documents must be properly prepared and truthful in all material respects, in accordance with relevant
standards and fully document all relevant information.
Insider trading
Employees are not permitted to use non-public information they obtain in the course of their work for BEGO to achieve financial
or business benefits for themselves or others.
Data protection
We collect, process and use personal data only as permitted under the relevant laws and company policies. Documents
containing personal information regarding employees will be treated confidentially, stored carefully and only disclosed to
authorised persons.
Money laundering
BEGO shall take all necessary measures to prevent money laundering in their sphere of influence.
6. Compliance with the Code of Conduct
BEGO will implement the principles laid down in the Code of Conduct in all divisions and subsidiaries worldwide. Regardless of
this, BEGO and its employees are bound by the respective laws of the countries in which we operate.
Country specific rules can be added to individual aspects of this code of conduct.
Obligation to comply
All executives, directors, management and employees of the BEGO must comply with the Code of Conduct.
The management has a special responsibility for the dissemination and implementation of these guidelines.
All BEGO employees are required to report violations of laws and internal regulations to the internal process manager for
compliance.
Protection of whistleblowers
We will not tolerate acts directed against employees who report such violations.
Consequences In case of violation of laws or internal policies, employees may expect the appropriate consequences up to industrial law and
disciplinary action. Such violations may also entail consequences under criminal and liability law.
