governmental entities in obtaining the most advantageous access to products and services through competitive, simple, transparent, customer-friendly processes to benefit the New Jersey Taxpayer. The Team offers information and access to potential taxpayer savings, time saving solutions, and an enhanced purchasing compliance opportunity.

•State is authorized to purchase off of a GSA Schedule by N.J.S.A. 52:34-6.1
•The Division of Purchase and Property (DPP) first takes specific action to award a specific State
contract with the GSA, forming the basis for the pricing terms of the contract

Understanding State Contracts
• Contracts can be found at: http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/purchase/ • The State issues set length of time term contracts. • Term contracts are 4 digits and start with:
– T = term contract – G = GSA schedule that has been promulgated – M = contract promulgated from a nationally recognized cooperative purchasing
organization – S = supplemental contract to an already awarded term contract
• Only certain contracts are cooperative. • Under each term contract, there are 5 digit supplier contract numbers
