THEOSTRICH

It is the biggest bird on the world. It is very fast. Its neck is very long. It can´t fly.

How does it look like?

They eat: Vegetables. Fruits. Flowers. Rodents. Lizards.They don’t eat: Leaves.

What does it eat?

Savannas, deserts and prairies with little

vegetation. Dry and arid areas like Africa and Arabia.

Where does it live?

During winter they stay alone or in pairs. During the breeding season, they stay in big

groups. They lay down their heads and necks on the

ground, so they will look as a mound of earth and predators won’t see them from far.

Behaviors

They can sense predators such as lions from

far. They can reach a speed of 70 kilometers per

hour. The ostrich is the fastest two-legged animal in

the world. They bury their heads in the ground.
