the original 6 pocket jeans.
most jeans as we know feature 5 pockets: 2 on the back, 2 on the front and1 extra at the facing of the right front pocket. this extra pocket,commonly known as the coin pocket, was used to carry small objects, suchas coins, a watch or even nuggets of gold. the modern day cowboy oftencarries a bit more to that, thus BDD introduces a standard 6th pocket -a hidden pocket at the facing of the left front pocket, only noticeable bythe exposed selvedge at the top, just under the waistband. i simply callthis: ‘the evolution of a classic.’

the BDD collection was created in Amsterdam, Holland. to realize thevariety of high quality products, various production sources all over theworld have been selected on pure craftsmanship and specialism. Japan,Italy, Portugal, Singapore and the USA all have their specialty when itcomes to producing certain high quality garments. BDD brings this alltogether in Holland, as a worldwide collaboration of the best there is.
Benzak Denim Developers (以下BDD)とはBenzakと知られるLennaert Nijghが創設したアムステルダムに拠点を置くデニムのブランドです。彼がこのブランドを始めたのはジーンズに対する情熱を持ちデニムが持つユニークな変化する可能性に刺激されたからです。 BDDは単なる季節的コレクションとして始まったのではなく,時間を超越し何時でも何処にでもいける一品です。

オリジナル6ポケットジーンズ。
よく知られているジーンズは5ポケットが多いです。後ろに2ポケット、前に2ポケット、右前ポケット向きに予備のポケットが１つ。この予備のポケットは通常はコインポケットとして知られています。コインや腕時計金塊など、 小さな小物を入れる用に使われていました。近代のカウボーイはそれ以上入れるものがあることから、BDDはスタンダードの6ポケットを紹介することにしました。それが左前ポケット向きの隠しポケットです。ちょうどウエストの下の上部のセルヴェッジが露出しないとわからない場所にあります。私はこれを単純に「クラシックの進化」と呼んでいます。

all BDD jeans are created in Amsterdam, Holland, but crafted by jeans artisans in Okayama, Japan.
when a BDD garment is in-digo dyed, this label can be found. it represents the molecular structure of indigo.
the hidden 6th pocket - yet another feature to be found in all BDD jeans.
the waistband is attached with a chain stitch,running all the way from end to end, as it should be. the size can be found on the inside of the fly, very easy. and all rivets and buttons are branded from the inside, as it’s not only all about the outside.
the buttons are diecast and feature the image of a longhorn bull, which is the cowboy’s naturalcounterpart.
the coinpocket on BDD jeans differs per fit, but always pays homage to one of ‘the big 3’.and the front pockets are stitched with 2 yarncolours, copper and navy. the navy yarn only becomes more visible by wear and wash.
BDD ANATOMY
BDD uses only selvagefabrics and all BDD jeans are hemmed with a Union Special 43200G
the crotch is reinforced with a bartack to prevent early crotch blow-outs. also the inseams areconstructed with a lapseam for durability. tomaintain the look of a single stitched seam with overlock, a navy yarn is used to hide this from the outside. this navy yarn will become more visible by wear and wash.
the back pockets are stitched with 3 different yarn colours and indifferent thicknesses to create an optical 3deffect. the arcuatestitching represent the horns of the longhorn bull.
this label will tell you the style name, fit and leg type.
all beltloops are neatly tucked into the waistband for a clean look. they are attached with navy bart-acks which become more visible after wash and wear.
the leather patch isnatural vegetable tanned. the letters BDD areembossed, coming out of the patch instead of stamped into the leather. the patch is attached only on 2 sides, so you can wear a belt underneath.
the back pockets are fully lined for extra durability.

the top block is very similar to the BDD-006, but the legs are more tapered.this is tightest BDD fit. the fabric construction is the same as used forthe BDD-710 - green cast, but for this one a grey blue colour is used. andit is little over an oz. lighter in weight.
ウエストからワタリにかけてはBDD-006と近いですが、裾にかけてはもっとテーパードしています。この型がBDDの中で一番タイトシルエットです。生地の織り方はBDD-710と同じで、1オンス軽いです。色目がBDD-710は緑がかったブルーですが、今回はグレイッシュブルーです。

the first non-indigo style for BDD, black black denim. for this one thetight BDD-016 fit is used – rock ‘n roll style! to keep the look and feelof a BDD product, indigo yarns and indigo chambray pocketing remain inthe jeans, and will fade to a lighter shade, while the black remains black.
BDDとして最初のインディゴを使わないジーンズ、黒x黒デニムです。これはBDD016のタイトなシルエットを採用、ロックンロールスタイル！でも、インディゴカラーのステッチやポケット地にインディゴシャンブレーを使い、BDDのスタイルをキープしています。そして、黒の中から少しづつ明るい色に経年変化していきます。

this BDD-006 has the deepest colour, it has been extra dipped to createthe deep indigo colour. the construction is super tight to maintain thisdeep colour, even after wash. despite it being very dark, the fadingpotential is amazing!
BDD006は特濃インディゴで染めた、最も濃いインディゴです。洗い後でも濃色が維持できるように出来る限り高密度に織っています。とても濃色ですが、色落ちの可能性は素晴らしいです。

instead of the normal ecru colour, the weft yarns are indigo dyed as well,which creates the dark tone colour. the fabric also contains slubby yarnsfor interesting fading. double indigo for true blue maniacs!
通常は生成りを緯糸に使うのですが、こちらはインディゴ糸を使用して濃色にしています。スラブの激しい糸を使用し、面白い色落ちします。経緯のダブルインディゴは信の青好きに！

with 16 oz., this is the heaviest weight in the BDD-006 slim fit. theirregular and open structure is both for more comfort and interestingfading. the slubby yarns will add to the deep fading potential. this oneneeds some time to break in, but will last long!
BDD006のスリムフィットでは一番重い16ozです。不規則で弱テンションな織り方がソフトで面白い色落ちになります。さらにスラブがもっと面白い色落ちをさせてくれます。これを履きこんでも長持ちします！

BDD-710 is the regular fit with tapered legs. the green cast colour isinspired from deadstock denim fabric. because this is a left hand twill,the fabric will become super soft and comfy after wear and wash, withoutlosing its heavy body!
BDD710はテーパードのかかったレギュラーフィットです。緑がかった青は藍染の古布からイメージした色です。左綾で織っているため、ソフトな風合いになっていきます。

YOUR JEANS LOVE TO BE WASHED EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE*
*but not too often. try to delay the first wash with at least 6 months. for this first wash, you can choose to soak, the dry cleaner, or even use your washing machine at home. the latter is what we always do. we even wash in 60 degrees water with detergent, to get sick contrast. but it is up to you. always remember to turn the jeans in-side out and do not put anything else in the machine. and measure up the inseam, so you can stretch the legs back right after you take them out. or send us an email and we will explain everything. because we love our customers.
