Brazil is one of the most biggest countries in the world. We have friendly people and awesome food. We also have an amazing culture that we would love to share with you!
I have to say that most people here in Brazil don’t speak or understand english. Some people speak and understand spanish, others only understand but don’t know how to speak. But if you don’t portuguese, don’t stress! We have a list with some useful phrases and words translated from english to portuguese to send to you.
Bauru is a city in countryside of state of Sao Paulo. We are four hours far (by car) from the capital named Sao Paulo too. Bauru it’s a medium city located right in the center of the state. We have the economy based on on local commerce and we are one of the most important countryside city of the state.
The cost of living here is medium too, for example: a regular lunch in a regular restaurant will cost around 8 - 12 dollars; one bus ticket is around 1 dollar and 30 cents.
Bauru its a university city too, we have 7 universities here so we have a lot of young people and parties!!
Bauru is not a known violent city! We don’t have many problems with this like in the big cities, but we always recommend to not walking alone during the night, for example, just in prevention.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Accommodation will be provided for free by AIESEC Bauru.
Your host will be a family house or a student house (brazilian students). We don't know yet where will be your accommodation or who will receive you, we choose this based in your profile and the house's profile.
You will probably have to share the bedroom with one person (from the same gender) and the bathroom. You will also have to help in houseworks and respect some intern rules that might exist related to that.
Please be reasonable! The house you'll be hosted won't receive no money for doing this so avoid waste water taking too much showers per day or using the telephone to make international calls.
Abdelrahman and his host Danilo Vaz
