Bath in Fashion celebrates the city’s fabulous retail and fashion heritage. Spring and summer fashions take centre stage on the catwalk showcasing the city’s top independent and high street brands.
The Georgian fashionistas flocked to Bath for their fashion fix and today Bath is among the most fashionable places in the UK to live, work and shop. Historic Milsom Street has just been voted ‘the best fashion street in the UK’ by the Google Street View Awards.

A WINDOW ON FASHION WEDNESDAY 14 APRIL 2010 | 10.00am A two hour walk
Shop windows sell fashion to the passer-by but through the years the style of windows themselves has altered. Follow Kirsten Elliott and Andrew Swift on a tour to discover how Bath’s shopkeepers sought ever more enticing ways to present their wares to fashionable society.

TEN 1960s FASHION DESIGNERS
A talk by Rosemary Harden FRIDAY 16 APRIL 2010 | 6.30pm Mary Quant is the name most associated with fashion in the 1960s, but other designers like Jean Muir and Gina Fratini were also working at the time. In this illustrated talk Rosemary will show images of the work of these and other 1960s fashion designers from the Fashion Museum’s celebrated Ernestine Carter Collection.
A ticket to this event gives free admission to the Fashion Museum in April and May 2010.

Donate, Don’t Dump
It is time to set to and spring clean your wardrobe to save lives with Save the Children.
In a city wide ‘Donate, Don’t Dump’ campaign, we are seeking high quality clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories. By passing on your unwanted items you are offering other people the chance to pick up one of your treasures and at the same time helping to save children’s lives in Haiti.
Please bring all clothing donations to the Octagon, at Milsom Place, off Milsom Street from 6th to 12th April 2010. We would like only your best cast offs!
Then watch your wardrobe donations on the catwalks! During each fashion show we will show you how creative you can be to style your wardrobe using recycled fashion.
Bath’s biggest companies and schools will be getting behind the campaign by having their own ‘Donate, Don’t Dump’ collection points.
Cash donations are also being accepted at Save the Children shops for the current Haiti appeal.
