The Basketball Academy continues to offer talented students the opportunity to gain a combination of practical basketball development alongside a programme of foundation, intermediate or advanced level study.

Players joining the Basketball Academy can look forward to exciting and in-depth training sessions delivered by Advanced England Basketball Coaches. In addition, the programme offers students the opportunity to gain coaching and officiating qualifications.

Training takes place at the college four days a week, and consists of core skill development, both individual and team, attacking and defensive formations, fitness and video analysis and feedback on match-day performances.

Academy games will be played on Wednesdays (British Colleges Merit League).

In the last 4 seasons, New College has successfully won the North West /East Conference League. In addition, over the last 2 years we won “back to back” National League titles as well as becoming British College of Sport Cup and League champions.
