Children’s Centres - Our ApproachAt our Plymouth Children’s Centres, our ethos is to support and strengthen familiesandcommunitiesrecognisingthatparentingcanbetoughaswellasoneoflife’smostrewardingexperiences. Wealsoaimtoprotectallchildrenfromharmandempowerthelocalcommunitytoalso help us do this. Children’sCentresareplaceswherefamiliescanaccessawiderangeofearlychildhoodservices. Whether you are a mum, dad, grandparent, carer or childminder you are welcometocometothechildren’scentreandjointhegroupsandactivitiesorget support but most importantly have FUN.
• Barnardo’s is a leading voluntary sector provider of children’s centres. We currently manage over 170 children’s centres across England and Northern Ireland.
• The centres provide for a range of needs, from a broad service open to anyone, through to more tailored services focusing on particular issues including breastfeeding support, parenting toolkits, and groups to support mums, dads and carers.
• We are proud to promote the inclusion of all children, their families and carers and seek to create a safe and nurturing environment.
