DEFINICIÓN 1: [a-sahn-BLAY] Literally "assembled". A movement where the first foot performs a
battement glissé/degagé, "swishing" out. With the dancer launching into a jump, the second foot then swishes up under the first foot. The feet meet together in mid-air, and the dancer lands with both feet on the floor at the same time, in third or fifth position.
DEFINICIÓN 2:Montado o unido juntos. Un paso en el que el pie que trabaja se desliza por el suelo
antes de elevarse por el aire. Como el pie entra en el aire, el bailarín se eleva del suelo con la pierna de apoyo. Ambas piernas una vez realizado el salto bajan a tierra simultáneamente en la quinta posición.

Es una posición en una pierna (como arabesque) con la diferencia que la que se encuentra levantada flexiona la rodilla doblándola en un ángulo de 90 grados. DEFINICIÓN 2:Un trabajo realizado en el ámbito de teatro, en la cual un coreógrafo ha expresado sus ideas
hacia un grupo o bailarines o solistas, junto a un acompañamiento musical con los trajes apropiados, el decorado y luces. No siempre un Ballet se basa en un argumento. La danza clásica o ballet es una forma de contar una historia utilizando el movimiento del cuerpo. El ballet es uno de los bailes que requiere entrenamiento desde una temprana edad, sobretodo si se quiere llegar a ejecutar profesionalmente. El ballet clásico es la base necesaria como preparación para cualquier otro estilo de baile.

DEFINICIÓN 1: [bat-MAHN fra-PAY] Is a battement where the foot moves from a flexed position
next to the other ankle, and extends out to a straight position, by doing so hitting the floor (the so-called frappé). In the Russian school the foot is wrapped around the ankle, rather than flexed and does not strike the floor. In this case, the frappè is given by the working foot striking the ankle of the supporting leg. Battements frappès can be executed double.
DEFINICIÓN 2:Battement pulsado. Un ejercicio en el cual el bailarín poderosamente amplía la

The working foot slides forward or sideways from the fifth or first position to reach the forth or second position, lifting the heel off the floor and stretching the instep. It forms the preparation for many other positions, such as the ronds de jambe and pirouette positions.
DEFINICIÓN 2:Battement estirado. Es un ejercicio para forzar los empeines hacia fuera. El pie de
trabajo sale de la primera o quinto posición hacia la segunda o cuarta posición sin la elevación del dedo del pie de la tierra. Ambas rodillas se deben mantener estiradas. Cuando el pie alcanza el tendue del pointe de la posición, entonces vuelve a la primera o quinto posición.

as high as they can, while the supporting leg remains straight. DEFINICIÓN 2:Battement grande. Un ejercicio en el cual la pierna de trabajo se levanta en el aire
con fuerza (sin mover las caderas) y vuelve a su posición original otra vez. El acento de este movimiento es hacia arriba y ambas rodillas estiradas. La función de los grands battements es aflojar los empalmes de la cadera.

DEFINICIÓN 1: [bree-ZAY] A jump similar to an assemblé. One leg is thrust from the fifth position
to the second position in the air; the second leg reaches the first in mid-air executing a beat. It is a traveling movement. In other words, the dancer executes an assemblè, then, doing a beat, changes fifth positions in the air.
DEFINICIÓN 2:Roto, rotura. Un pequeño batido o latido de pies. Los Brisés son comenzados con
un o dos pies y al final decaen a un o dos pies. Ellos son dessous, en avant y en arrière. Fundamentalmente un brisé es un assemblé golpeado y desplazado. La pierna que trabaja sale de la quinta posición a la segunda posición para que el punto del pie salga unas pulgadas de la tierra, y golpee delante o detrás de la otra pierna, que ha venido para encontrarlo; entonces ambos pies vuelven a la tierra simultáneamente del demi-plié a la quinta posición.

DEFINICIÓN 2:Un paso del allegro en el cual las piernas extendidas se baten en el aire. Los
Cabrioles se divide en dos categorías: petite, que se ejecutan en 45 grados, y grandes, que se ejecutan en 90 grados. La pierna de trabajo se empuja en el aire, la pierna que esta debajo la sigue y la golpea enviándola más arriba. El aterrizaje entonces se hace primero con la pierna que esta debajo.

DEFINICIÓN 2:Línea. El contorno presentó por un bailarín mientras que se ejecuta camina y se
presenta. Dicen que un bailarín puede tener un buen o mal sentido de la línea según el arreglo de la pista, del cuerpo, de las piernas y de los brazos en una actitud o un movimiento.

DEFINICIÓN 2:Cambio de pies. El término se abrevia generalmente al changement. Changements son
los pasos que salen en la quinta posición, los pies del bailarín que cambian en el aire y el aterrizaje en la quinta posición con el pie opuesto en el frente. Pueden ser simples o batidos.

CONTEXTO: En el changement, después de saltar, hay que respirar, contener la respiración y elevarse cual pluma en el viento cambiando los pies de adelante para atrás en cada salto. Las rodillas debemos mantenerlas muy abiertas y tener cuidado al regresar al piso. Debe ser al mismo tiempo con ambas piernas y en plié.

nineteenth century it had acquired an international aspect through the influence of international artists. From the beginning of the second half of the nineteenth century Russian ballet was dominated by Marius Petipa, a Frenchman, and Christian Johannsen, a Swede.
