CAPTION COMPETITION Last week’s caption competition attracted no fewer than 17 entries and caused the selection committee a great deal of head scratching. There were 3 responses all referring to Bully’s star prize and we felt that we could not pick one of the three. There was a very amusing politically in correct suggestion which had to be excluded and there was even a finely crafted poem, but in the end simplicity prevailed. The winner – Paul Shardlow of Shirland ‘BID UP OR YOU’LL MISS THE BOAT’ The runner up was Tanya Kelsey, Shottle ‘SURF & TURF’
