Homework Policy

Students are responsible for writing down the night’s homework on their schedule and making sure that they have all of their homework when they go home. Homework will be given nightly in math, spelling, and reading. It is the responsibility of the parent to check the homework calendar and work each night. If you have a question about the homework, or if it takes the student longer than one hour without any distractions, please write a brief note explaining the problem or email the teacher.

It is the teacher’s responsibility to send homework that reviews skills taught in class. Homework is an integral part of the student’s learning and will be factored into their grades. It is expected to be completed and returned each day. Students who do not complete and return their homework will be required to make up work in study hall on Friday. If incomplete work persists, student may be required to complete work at recess.

the student in their folder attached to a weekly behavioral update.

That update must be signed by the student’s parent or guardian and returned with the student the following day.

A class blog, containing this PowerPoint presentation, news, and other information is available at www.mrssmithsclassblog.wordpress.com
