CONTEST RULES• Only digital photos accepted for entry

• Emergency incident-related photos will be reviewed for technical accuracy.

• Maximum of 20 entries per contestant.

• Each entry must be accompanied by a separate completed entry form (Photocopies are acceptable.)

• Entry forms must be complete, accurate, and legible to be eligible.

• Entry forms include the file name, entry number, and printed brief description of the photo.

DIGITAL PHOTOS1. Prints MUST be accompanied by the image file on disc (CD-ROM or DVD preferred).

2. Image file must be a minimum of 8½ x 11 at 300 pixels per inch (or 2,550 pixels tall by 3,300 pixels wide) and saved in Photoshop Tiff or JPEG format.

3. Any digital entries not accompanied by the image file or any that are smaller than listed above will be disqualified.

4. A color print must accompany each digital entry.

5. Orientation of each photo entry must be landscape (horizontal). Violation will result in disqualification of entry.

PLEASE NOTE1. All entries are nonreturnable.

2. Submission of photographs shall constitute an agreement by the contestant to allow Fire Protection Publications (FPP) to make any reasonable and proper use of the photograph/s as long as each is credited to the photographer.

3. Photos submitted, including those selected for the 2017 Calendar, may be retained for future use. This includes the calendar, IFSTA/FPP catalogs, IFSTA/FPP manuals, quarterly newsletters, website (ifsta.org), and other advertising formats.

4. For each photo selected for use by FPP, the photographer will be compensated with a one-time payment of no less than $100 for the first use. No further compensation will be paid for subsequent uses of the same photograph.

5. Photograph submission certifies that individuals in the photo have agreed in writing to release the use of their image to Fire Protection Publications, Oklahoma State University.
