Do you like working with computers? Do you want to design websites,

make computer programs, write database systems, or develop mobile

phone apps? Are you interested in learning to work with Linux? Or

select and implement computer systems and software?

Studying one of our information technology majors will give you

the skills to do all this and more, with organisations ranging from

business and government to schools and healthcare. Combining your

knowledge of IT theory and practice with hands-on expertise, you will

be able to develop and deploy IT solutions that work.

The Bachelor of Information Technology degree allows you to

specialised software for software development and team based

specialised Windows and Linux servers to help you gain skills in

working with these platforms. RMIT Vietnam has a state-of-the-art

wireless network.

Vietnam is facing skill shortages in the Information

Technology (IT) industry. Constant advances incomputer software, internet applications, and mobile

technology have created a strong demand for people

with technical expertise in computer software.

The skills required to secure jobs with international

companies are not limited to technical skills only, but

also include English skills, communication skills,

team-work skills, and problem solving skills.

As a graduate from the Bachelor of IT program you

will possess all these skills and have the capability to

enter this challenging eld in high-paying positions,

including management roles. Many IT students in thenal year have part-time jobs and most of them areemployed immediately upon graduation.

a wide variety of roles at software development

companies, game development companies, selecting

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

There are several ways to meet the academic entry

requirements for this program:

Direct entry to Bachelor of Information

Technology: Successful completion of high schoolyear 12 (or equivalent) with an average grade of atleast 7.0 out of 10.0

Articulation from Diploma of Design(Multimedia) or the Diploma of Commerceprograms:If you have completed an RMITDiploma program you may apply for the Bachelor

of IT program. You must achieve a grade point

average of 2.0 or higher to guarantee placement.

If you complete the Diploma with less than a 2.0

grade point average you may still be admitted to a

bachelor program at the discretion of the Selection

Ofcer and you will also be required to speak to anacademic advisor.

With an Advanced Diploma in IT program:If you have completed an Advanced Diploma

in IT (for example at Aptech or NIIT) may applyfor the Bachelor of IT program. Applicants with

good results for their diploma may be eligible

for Advanced Standing and/or may apply for

Recognition of Prior Learning.
