Bikes Belong works to increase federal bike funding, awards grants to support innovative bike projects, promotes bicycling and its benefits, and backs crucial national efforts such as Safe Routes to School, Bicycle Friendly Communities, and the National Bike Summit. The affiliated Bikes Belong Foundation focuses on improving bicycle safety and enhancing children's bike programs. websites as needed Prepares PowerPoints and other presentation materials Interfaces and coordinates with vendors, including marketing consultants, advertising agencies,

website companies, photographers, printers, etc. Coordinates mailing lists Designs schwag for both brands, assists in the production of schwag Designs booth layout and assets for tradeshows and other events Handles design and production of office assets such as business cards, letterhead, envelopes, etc. Takes photos at Bikes Belong events and provides art direction for photoshoots Provides graphic support for board meetings Contributes to the upkeep and beautification of the office environment Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field

At least 2 years prior experience in graphic design working in the Macintosh platform Expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Comprehensive photo-retouching and image development skills Knowledge of the print production process and correct disking procedures Photography experience and knowledge of the photographic process Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Experience administering websites and creating content for the web; solid understanding of web best practices

Proficiency in HTML and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Proficiency with iMovie and video editing Strong understanding of social networking and social media marketing Excellent verbal and written communication skills Team-oriented and able to accept ideas and strategy from other individuals Strong organizational skills and attention to detail under tight deadlines

A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in the face of changing priorities and requirements

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Willing to travel occasionally Enthusiasm for bicycling in all its forms Must have a strong portfolio containing examples of professional design work Direct experience in the bicycling industry, outdoor industry, or nonprofit highly desirable

Compensation and Benefits: Position pays $18/hour for 20 hours/week. Benefits include a casual work environment, and generous prorated vacation time.
