Funchal / Pico Dos Barcelos& Monte (1/2 day -

You'll begin by visiting Pico dos Barcelos where you'll have the most beautiful views of Funchal. You'll go on to the village of Monte, through mimosa andeucalyptus forests, to Terreiro da Luta where you'll see Madeira's tallest monument, dedicated to Our Lady of Peace. You can have a fun ride down on a"cestinhos" (a wicker sled), before returning to Funchal to taste the famous Madeira wine.

Day 4 - Monday Funchal / Pico Dos Barcelos

& Monte (1/2 day -morning) *

You'll begin by visiting Pico dos Barcelos where you'll have the most beautiful views of Funchal. Don't miss this opportunity to discover the treasures of the island known as the "Little England" of the Antilles, starting with Farley Hill, a very popular spotwith the Barbadians, and Bathsheba, a small fishing village known worldwide for its great surfing waters. You'll end the trip with a visit to the 18th centuryVilla Sunbury, a former planters' villa with a sumptuous interior.
