Dispatch Operations FuelsManager Defense Standard and Professional Editions provide a real-time interface for the dispatcher to instantly view the status of their fueling personnel and equipment. Many complimentary features assist the dispatcher in making correct and timely decisions regarding the fueling requests being managed, including:

• Managing equipment using the ‘Equipment Status’ feature and storing details about all equipment assigned to the facility, including availability, functionality and service information.

• Keeping track of the availability of personnel using the ‘Calendar Tool’.

Dispatch Reporting The ‘Filter’ or ‘Query Builder’ tools assist your personnel to find the information they need quickly. For example, the Operations Center may want to know how many fueling requests a particular fueler serviced between January 1st and February 14th or how many fuel loads over 5,000 gallons/litres were serviced by the facility last month.

As a dispatcher, you can also collect data regarding the actual amount of fuel dispensed and provide it as account transaction information when exported to the accounting department’s transaction journal.

Quality ControlFuelsManager Defense allows your Quality Control department to define and document fuel quality tests, when the tests should be performed and the acceptable results. This also includes equipment inspections, allowing your operator to document and record the required safety inspections. The information can then be made available to other FuelsManager applications. For example, a refueling truck failing a scheduled quality control test can be made unavailable in the system for dispatch.

TrainingYour Training department is able to easily build a database of training requirements specific to their location. The trainer can record which personnel have completed the required training and when they require retraining. This allows the dispatcher to easily match qualified personnel to the available equipment and task at hand. FuelsManager defense can also provide alerts against personnel that are requested to perform a fueling activity for which they are not qualified.

MaintenanceFuelsManager Defense provides a system for tracking and recording the maintenance tasks performed on fueling-related equipment. This feature is typically used by your maintenance department to denote items of equipment that are undergoing scheduled maintenance and, as such, are not available for fueling activities. This includes complete reporting, site-specific status codes or comments to denote the current status of a maintenance task.

Mobile AccessoriesEach of the mobile computing devices we offer can be expanded using integrated peripherals. Depending on the model chosen, printers, scanners or magnetic card-stripe readers can be easily attached. Your operator has the power to print multiple tickets, validate credit cards or communicate when and where necessary.

Real-time CommunicationsIn various locations or fuels management systems, it may be possible to utilize real-time communications for data transfer. Choices in wireless (Bluetooth, ethernet or serial) communications allow you to transfer data as your operations demand.

If integrated wireless communications are utilized, the handheld units can accept and supply automatic fuel updates in real-time. This allows you to track and manage your fueling activities more efficiently from dispatch to accounting.

Capture Metered Data Handheld devices integrate with Data Collection Units installed on the fueling vehicle via wireless communications. The DCUs are able to collect information, such as fuel meter values, fuel temperature, filter pressure, flow, interlocks, densitometer and battery status. The information may then be used by other systems to aid transaction calculations and validation.

Dock and UploadIf you do not utilize real-time data transfer, your operator is able to record your daily transaction data in the handheld device’s memory. Then, at designated intervals (e.g. once per hour, shift or day) the device can be docked at its communication cradle to upload this information to the FuelsManager Aviation accounting system.
