    Authorize.Net History

In Authorize.net, the History button allows you to generate a report on Unsettled or

    15

    2. Select the type of history report that you would like to generate.

VII. RefundsRefunds in Authorize.net need to match up to the original transaction. There may

be times when you receive a message that the refund transaction amount exceeds

the original transaction amount. This can appear for a number of reasons, for

    instance:

    1. The refund amount may exceed the original amount,2. The refund may be for an order charged the same day, or3. The refund may be for a transaction that wasn't processed in Authorize.net.

In these cases, you can go to Maintain > System Information > GlobalParameters and choose the ICCAS tab.

    16

Uncheck the Validate Refunds to original charge. When this is unchecked, you willbe able to refund for the above examples.

VIII. Address VerificationWhen approving a credit card, a bank will first check if the customer has fundsavailable, if the customer does, then the credit card will be approved. After that, the

bank will verify that the address from the order matches the customers address on

file. You can select to reject an transaction if a portion of the address doesn't

match. When using this filter, the credit card still gets approved, but when it comesback through Authorize.net, they will "reject" the card, causing it to show "Decline"

    in MOM.

At this point, the only way you can get this transaction to be approved, without

verifying the customer address, would be to uncheck the filter causing the rejection

    and resubmit the transaction.

Note: With using the AVS Reject If feature, if you attempt to authorize acustomers credit card multiple times, the funds will be held on the customers credit

card multiple times. These funds can be held on an average of 7-10 days. You

should not credit the customer back since you did not actually capture and settle thetransaction. If you need to release the funds for the customer, you need to call the

customer's credit card bank and tell them there was a system error with the Addressand that you are not going to be capturing the funds. The phone number can befound on the back of the customers credit card.

    IX. Email ReceiptCustomer Email Receipt

Initially, when you setup Authorize.net, the default setting is to send the customer

an email receipt. If customer on the order has an email address, when you approve

    4. You can check/ uncheckTransaction Receipt option and then select theSubmit button.

    X. CID NumberFormally called CVV2 (Visa) and CVC2 (MC), the CID Number can be entered inMOM below the credit card number (Authorize.net calls this field Card Code).

This feature works the same way as Address Verification in regards to how you canreject the credit card in Authorize.net if the CID Number entered doesn't match. If

the CID Number doesn't match, it is likely that the customer doesn't have the card in

hand. You should resubmit the transaction with a new number. It's up to you todecide if this filter is set on or off and letting the transaction go through anyway. In

MOM, The CID Number entered will change to " *** "until approved, then when a

response is received, it is deleted from the system.
