Thank you for checking out my catalog, I have been growing and collecting genetics most of my life and it is a real pleasure to share them with you.
I am very pleased to announce that starting with this catalog, I am able to offer seeds directly from the garden of Mel Frank.
Back in 1984, his book started me on this journey of cannabis cultivation and in the 90’s, I had the pleasure of meeting him and becoming one of his friends. Over the years I have had the great pleasure of experiencing original and authentic genetics directly from his garden and felt honored for the experience. Now he is opening up his collection of genetics and making a limited numbers of seeds available of some incredibly famous varieties such as Durban Poison and Skunk No. 1.
And from my garden, I am working on bringing back the high-energy Haze by crossing it into some of the most amazing female clone-only cultivars circulating in California.
Back in November 1994, I had the pleasure of attending the very first High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam open to the general public. It was on that trip that I first experienced original Haze and it forever changed the way I looked at cannabis.
At the time, I was an assistant to Jack Herer and one of the editors of his book, The Emperor Wears No Clothes, which gave me access to people on a level that I will be forever grateful for. Over the years I have had the great pleasure of being able to collect genetics directly from Nevil, Skunkman Sam, Mel Frank and many others who are not quite as famous within our cannabis community, but nonetheless had some amazing genetics.
All seeds are hand selected and grown organically in a greenhouse or outdoors using good old sunlight. All seeds are guaranteed to bring happiness into your life or, if they do not, contact me and I will replace them with others that do.

These produce male and female plants in about equal numbers.

Skunk No.1,tested about 17% THC, and was loaded with interesting terpenes. About 8 years ago Werc Lab’s test for terpenes showed: Myrcene and ß-Caryophyllene being equally dominant, but also with surprisingly good amounts (each with about half as much as Myrcene) of Limonene, Seline, Eudesm and Humulene and, of course, many more with lesser amounts. The Skunk seeds are descended directly from seeds Skunkman Sam gifted me in 1988. He seeded his best plants after he, “didn't like what Amsterdam breeders were doing to his Skunk.” He also said that about 17% THC is typical, and that it’s the stability and terpenes that makes it a favorite.
Just to make sure I never lost Skunk #1, I produced seeds in 1996, and again in 2010, from his originals. I used a number of males and females each time. I recently tested 40 seeds from 1996, for a germination demo and 39 sprouted within 24 hours, and the last seed cracked just a few hours later.

Explaining Terms, by Mel Frank: Before cataloguing seeds from my personal collection, it’s important to clarify key terms and correct some misperceptions and misuse of terms in the cannabis seed industry. After all, if you’re going to grow my seeds, I want you to know what you are talking about.
Though sellers often refer to plants as F1s, F2s, S1s, or “sativa” or “indica,” nearly every modern variety in the cannabis market is a poly-hybrid. This is the product of the globalized seed trade, and decades of active breeding. Those plants sold as “indica” may exhibit more indica traits than sativa, or might be hybridized with other indicas. All of the seeds offered here are also descended from hybridized plants. None of the seeds below are truly F1s, F2s, or S1s in botanical terms. These terms are used in professional breeding specifically for beginning with parental pure lines and the terms are misused by many cannabis seed sellers.
Here, we will use F1 to mean it’s the first cross made between two hybrid clones or hybrids from seeds. F2 means that I’ve crossed F1s, which leads to more variation in offspring, and S1 means “selfed”, as the seeds were produced from a selected female plant using its own pollen. Even though pollen and seed come from the same plant, a mixing of genes in the offspring leads to progeny with some variations. They are sisters, not identical twins.
Seeds that are labeled feminized F1 means that I’ve crossed it with another feminized variety. Feminized F2 means that I’ve crossed it with another member of the original cross.
From the Collection of Mel Frank ~ the following are feminized seeds (All plants will be females)
1. Durban Poison S1: A very solid performer, not spectacular, but especially good for new growers, as it's an easy grow, relatively early, has good potency and terpenes, solid buds and decent yield. Also it’s fun to grow because stigmas might be red, white or pink. I always give this to first time growers. Once they smoke their first Durban homegrown, they're hooked on growing.
2. GDP (Grand Daddy Purple) S1: One of the best of GDP cuts, much better buds than some of those scrawny little bud cuts. Good buds, yield, and easy manicure. I especially liked the high and fragrant terpenes.
3. GDP X Blueberry Haze F1: Always potent with a strong blueberry nose. It’s a big cola, big yield plant. I grow this for my own smoking.
4. SLH (Super Lemon Haze) X a very fragrant Jack Herer F1: Performs very well in potency and yield. But, you never know what terpenes you'll get, or whether the nose is strong or not. A neighbor grew two last season and got one potent, wonderfully sweet, lemon terpene plant that he loves; the other not so much.
5. SLH/Jack Herer X SLH/Jack Herer F2: This is of interest to breeders or growers searching for something unique. The phenos will represent either parent or mixtures of the parents, so this is where a special pheno can be discovered. I did this expecting to work in a field of 100s, if not 1,000s, hoping to find a special mixture of terpenes with potency as the terpenes are there as is the THC. Both parents were 20+ THC outdoors and had great terpenes. I’m still going to do this one someday.
All of the above are feminized and I've yet to ever see a single male flower from my feminized seeds. I do not believe that hermies come from selfing, but do come from careless breeders or bad growing conditions.
