Panama was originally home to a diverse range of Amerindian peoples. Then, itwas invaded and conquered by Spain. Later, it achieved independence from Spainas part of Colombia, then broke off to become its own nation before a mixture ofBritish, French, and American groups basically took over and opened up the nationto international businesses. Considering this heritage, it's probably not surprisingthat Panama’s largest recognized ethnic category is 'mixed'. Approximately 65% ofPanamanians today identify as mestizos.

The Panama Canal is at number one in our top ten, as it is an infrastructure that

rises as one of the greatest engineering feats in the world.

The Panama Canal was built by the United States in 1902 after the failure of the

French attempt in 1880. The purpose was to shorten commercial travel, reduce

costs and make more profit. It was finally inaugurated on August 15, 1914 and has

since evolved to adapt to new ships and new ways of sailing.

The Panama Canal is an interoceanic waterway that connects the Caribbean Sea

and the Atlantic Ocean with the Pacific Ocean, through the narrowest stretch of the

isthmus of Panama. For anyone, own or foreign who wants to marvel at this masterful work, there are two

visitor centers. One located on the Atlantic side, near the city of Colón, The visitor

center of Agua Clara, this site awaits you to have a pleasant experience, enriching you

Activity 2 Desarrollo

ReadingDairiesDairy consumption can help prevent obesity, type II diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure. Its high calcium content makes it difficult to build up fat.Consuming the recommended daily amounts of milk and dairy products, often

better skin, for each age, within a healthy and balanced diet, can help maintain

health and prevent some cardiovascular risk factors such as type II diabetes,

hypertension and obesity, according to the Dairy Guide in Cardiology.

Fruit-consuming goodness

1) Fruits provide water, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and different compounds

beneficial to the body.

2) By their antioxidants, they prevent premature aging of cells, giving you cleaner,

younger, softer, and healthier skin and higher quality of life.

3) Consumed daily, fruits help us prevent various diseases such as cardiovascular

problems, digestive disorders, some cancers and neurodegenerative diseases, in

addition to collaborating in the fight against overweight and obesity.

4) They are sweet, tasty, have few calories and virtually no saturated fats (those

more harmful to the body), so they are a good treat when you get your sweetest

vein in.

5) Fruits give us a feeling of fullness by containing fiber, so you will avoid pecking

around all day. In addition, its fiber helps us regulate intestinal transit and prevent

constipation.

Vegetables

Vegetables provide many nutritional benefits and prevent disease. They are mainly

important because they regulate intestinal transit and because the vitamins, they

provide modulate many metabolic processes. All vegetables have a high

percentage of water, and stand out for their carbohydrate, minerals, and vitamins

content. However, they have very few proteins and fats. Until recently, and due to

the low caloric and protein intake of vegetables, these were considered as food

products of relative interest. After the discovery of vitamins, these foods have been

placed in an important place of man's nutrition.

Fiber is a fundamental nutrient for our body and especially for our digestive system, which is where it will perform the main functions. A correct contribution of fiber in

our diet, in addition to facilitating digestive transit, is going to have very beneficial

effects on our health
