Everyday is a winding road in recovery.

The efforts of so many people from all over the country, along with the

determination and true grit of the survivors in Mississippi, helped the road

to recovery unwind.

Thank you to all that have helped so far!!

There continues to be a waiting list of more than 170 people still needing assistance in just one of the local agencies in Jackson County.

Case Managers are still trying to get survivors home, but have no funding left with which to work.

Most of the individuals and families on the waiting list are disabled, elderly, or disadvantaged.

Take a look inside. Much work is still needed to make homes

safe, sanitary and secure.

Local churches and faith-based agencies are able to assist with coordinating repairs through the

use of volunteers who continue to come from all across our nation.

Without additional financial support, we have no way to provide the materials needed to complete the repairs the volunteers are coming to do.

Without materials, the volunteers will eventually stop coming.

The families with whom we continue to work more than three years after Katrina have exhausted their own limited resources, financially and emotionally.
