Cub Camp ActivitiesThis month, the children will participate in
learning about inventors and inventions! Some of the different
themes and topics that they will learn about were: Yummy Desserts
The students will learn how to make different types of yummy
desserts! They will have a cupcake party, decorate cookies, have a
brownie and ice cream party, and make their own class pies! Music
The students will use a variety of different instruments and learn
how they work. They will create their own tissue box guitars, have
a dance party, and sing with Mr. Patrick! Sports The students will
explore different types of sports! They will learn about cycling,
bowling, and cheerleading. They will have some cycling fun around
the playground, as well as complete an obstacle course! They will
be bowling and create their own cheerleading pom-poms! Crafts The
students will create many different fun crafts using a variety of
materials such as: creating their own yarn collage, making popsicle
stick treasure boxes, milk carton cars, and ending the week with a
luau party!
Adventure Camp ActivitiesThis month, the children will
participate in an inventors workshop! They will learn how different
things are made and try to create them! Some of the inventions they
will be learning about are: The assembly line, oil well,
phonograph, sewing machine, TV, telegraph, and the zipper. Some
activities that they will be creating are: Creating an assembly
line while making fruit salad, ice cream party and making their own
oil well using hot fudge, a recycled robot, creating their own
phonograph while learning about Thomas Edison, learning how to sew,
creating their own TV set with cardboard boxes, develop and
creating their own newspaper, and creating their own windmill.
