To take you through the entire gamut of activities of our school, AECS-2, Mumbai, I
would like to begin with the academic results for the session 2017-18.
1. ACADEMIC ACCOMPLISHMENT–
BYTHE STUDENTS OF CLASS X
*In class X, 114 students have appeared for the CBSE Board Examination and 113 students passed with 99.12% result.
* 24 students scored A1 in all subjects. *The EXCELLENCE INDEX for the year was: 92.73 * The QUALITY INDEX for the year was : 8.12
SRISHTI SINGH from 10 Y passed with the overall highest score in
Anushaktinagar with 97.8 % marks.
ABHIRAMI SUDHEER NAIR from 10 X,followed SRISHTI SINGH, with a score
of 97.2% of marks.
The third position was shared by ISHITA MADJE of 10 X and MEGHNA
MALHOTRA from 10 Z with a score of 96.8 % of marks.
24 students obtained A1 grade in all subjects and they are:-

THE STUDENTS FROM CLASSES VITO IX
A brief account of the academic performance of the students from classes Vi to IX for
the academic year 2017 -18:-
CLASSES RESULT VI A total of 67 students appeared for the class VI examination and all the 67
students passed. The pass percentage was 100% VII A total of 112 students appeared for the class VII examination and all the 112
students passed. The pass percentage was 100% VIII A total of 125 students appeared for theclass VIII examination and all the 125
students passed. The pass percentage was 100% IX A total of 96 students appeared for theclass IX examination and all the 84
students passed. The pass percentage was 87.5 %

ACADEMIC ACCOMPLISHMENT BY-
THE STUDENTS FROM CLASSES I TO V
1. We have followed Continuous-Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) for the
children of Classes I and II and conducted a total of eight cycle tests for the
Classes I and II.
2. 207 students of these classes have done extremely well in all these cycle tests.
3. In Classes III to V a total of 304 students appeared in Term 1 exam and 312
students appeared in Term 2 exam.
4. It gives us immense pleasure to announce that a total of 47 students received
A1 Grade in both the Terms I and II separately.
2. JSO-JMO – 2018
1. JSO/JMO Orientation programmefor Class X students was conducted from
22.10.2018 to 27.10.2018 at AEJC, Mumbai.
2. A screening test was conducted for Classes IX and X to select students for the
camp on 31.08.2018.
3. A total of 62 students from Class X and 59 students from Class IX took the
screening test.
4. Ayush Joshi of Class 10Y and Dhruva Upadhyaya of Class 10X got selected for
the camp.
5. Ayush Joshi of 10Y and his team secured 3rd position in the Quiz Competition
held in the camp.
6. AtharvaDevpujari of Class 9X,ArithraMahata of Class 9X and SohamKolekar of
Class 9Z got selected for JSO/JMO Orientation Camp for Class 9.

3. SCHOOL LEVEL SCIENCE,SOCIAL SCIENCE,MATHS AND TEACHING
AIDS EXHIBITION
Science and Maths Exhibition 2018 for the Primary Section
1. Science and Maths Exhibition was held for the primary students on
07.07.2018. Large number of students participated with enthusiasm.
2. In the Science Exhibition, 18 students belonging to Class 1,2.3,4 & 5 won 1st,
2nd and 3rd prizes classwise.
3. In theMaths Exhibition, 15 students belonging to Class 1,2.3,4 & 5 won 1st, 2nd
and 3rd prizes class wise.
Science Exhibition 2018 for the Secondary Section
1. The Science Exhibition 2018 was conducted on 7th July, 2018. Students from
Class 6 to 10 participated enthusiastically. There were around 40 exhibits.
Class wise results were announced .
2. The exhibit CNC machine by AlbinReji, AinulAlam, SatwikUsarkarfrom Class
10 X got the first prize and these students represented AECS – 2 Mumbai in
the All India AEES Exhibition.
3. Alapan Barman of Class 8X and Riya Hire of Class 6X won second and third
prizes respectively.
Social Science Exhibition 2018
1. The Social Science Exhibition 2018 was conducted on 7th July, 2018. Students
from Class 6 to 10 participated enthusiastically. There were 27 exhibits and
44 student participants in the exhibition. Class wise results were announced.
2. UpasanaMohanty of Class 7X, Janaki Kothalkar of Class 7X and Mitrajit of
Class 7X won the overall first, second and third prizes respectively.
A team of students and a teacher have represented the school in the inter school
AEES science, mathematics, social science and teaching aid exhibition heldat
AECS,Kakrapara from 09.08.2018 to 11.08.2018.
1. AinulS. Alamfrom Class 10 X with his science project and Sinjini Mukherjee
from Class 10 Y with her Maths projectparticipated in the exhibition.
2. Janaki Kothalkarfrom Class 7 X represented AECS – 2 with her exhibit “Waste
Water Management”.
3. Smt. MalatiMurgan participated in the exhibition with her teaching aids.

4. MAHARASHTRA STATE DRAWING GRADE EXAMINATION
All India Elementary and Intermediate Drawing Grade Examainationwas conducted
by Government of Maharashtra from 21.09.2017 to 24.09.2017.
38 students appeared for the Elementary Exam and the passing result was 86.84%.
19 students appeared for Intermediate Exam and the passing result was 89.47%.
16 students have appeared for the Elementary exam and 22 students have appeared
for the Intermediate exam this year and the result is awaited.
5. ALL INDIA AEES ART COMPETITION
Swastik Ray of Class 7 Y was awarded third prize in the All India AEES Art
Competition.
AryaamanBorgohain of Class 9 X stood first in the Art Competition conducted at the
DAE Convention Centre on 28.10.2018.
Sania Patel of Class 8 Z and JiyaModak of Class 7 X received Consolation prizes.
6. EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS
1. The Green Olympiad Examination was conducted in the school on 31.10.2018
112 students have appeared for the examination and the result is awaited.
2. The Financial Literacy Examination was conducted in the school, in
collaboration with RBI; and 150 students from our school got the certificates
for the same.
3. The National Talent Search Examination was conducted in the school on 4th
November, 2018; and 40 students from the school appeared for the same .The
result is awaited.
4. The NSETS examination related to science and astronomy was conducted in
the school on 18th November, 2018. 26 students from the school appeared for
the same. The result is awaited.

7. ACHIEVEMENTS IN SPORTS
Sports events for primary section were conducted from 22.10.2018 to 26.10.2018
and were completed successfully. The activities were conducted as per the events
mentioned in the school calendar. The participating students showed amazing
sportsmanship and did amazingly well. In total 120 students of primary section won
prizes in different sports events. 40 students won 1st position, 40 students 2nd
position and 40 students 3rd position in different events conducted by the school.
National Level
1. MehulGautam of Class 8 became the winner in All India Ranking Talent Series
Tennis Tournament, 2018.
2. Azmeer sheikh of class 8 became the winner in both singles and doubles
categories in All India ranking Championship series Tennis Tournament
organized by All India Tennis Association and Maharashtra state Lawn tennis
Association.
State Level
1. Swarangi Abhyankar of Class 7 became the winner in individual kata category
and runner up in individual kumite category in the karate competition
organized by All India Karate Federation.
2. SuchirRavva of Class 5 became pre-quarter finalist in Maharashtra Sub Junior
State Selection Badminton Tournament and quarter finalist in Maharashtra
State Open Badminton Tournament organized by Maharashtra Badminton
Association.
3. Yash Dalvi of Class 9 participated in Maharashtra State Table Tennis
tournament upto the third round.
District Level
1. YashKolekar of Class 9 secured the second runner-up under seventeen boys
in the district level wrestling championship organized by District Sports
Association.
2. RiddhiKoli of Class 9 participated in the District Thai Boxing championship.
Taluka Level

1. Yash Dalvi of Class 9, AtharvaDeo Pujari of Class 9 and Avinash Joshi of
Class 9 became the winners at the DSO Taluka Table Tennis Tournament.
8. CCA COMPETITIONS
Primary Section
The CCA activities for the primary students commenced in the month of April
2018,with the investiture ceremony.
The House Captains and the Vice Captains took the oath of their duties. Lipsita
Panda of Class 5 Z was chosen as the CCA Captain and Vihaan Mishra of Class 4 Y
was chosen the CCA Vice Captain.
Different types of CCA Competitions such as Art Competitions, Recitations, Greeting
Card making, Group Singing, Quiz, Skit, Fancy Dress etc. were held for the students.
Secondary Section
The CCA activities for the year 2018-19 began with the investiture ceremony.
A wide range of activities such as art competiton, elocution, debate, quiz, solo
singing, group singing, group dance, debate etc. were organized during the year.
These activities brought out the best in the children and the all rounddevelopment
of the students.
9. ALL INDIA INTER AEES MUSIC COMPETITION
ShreyoshiMahapatra of Class 10 X has bagged the third position in solo singing
competition, light music category in the Inter AEES Music competition held at
Hyderabad.
10. TEACHERS’ ACHIEVEMENTS
Shri Stylemon Pillai, TGT PET received AEES Award for the Best Teacher in Trained
Graduate Teacher category.

He has presented papers in International Conference on Sports Vision and Mission
for grooming athletes and para athletes for Olympics 2020 and participated in the
National Seminar for quality education for students belonging to the marginalised
sections in India.
11. OBSERVANCES
1. SwachhataPakhwada was observed from 16.02.2018 to 28.02.2018,. Projects
were prepared by children. Slogan writing, poetry writing, street play, rally with
placards, donating a sapling, essay writing for parents were some of the
competitions during the pakwada.
Wall painting activity was taken up by the students and the art teacher, SmtSwagata
Ghosh to promote swachhata among the students. Vibrant colours were used and
the school walls were painted by the students to spread the message of swachhatha.
2. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was organized in the school on 02.10.2018 by the
students of Class 9 and the teachers. It involved a clean-up campaign conducted in
and around the school.
3. Vigilance Awareness Week 2018 was observed from 29.10.2018 to 03.11.2018.
The theme of the week was – “eradicate corruption and build a new India”. Essay
writing competitions and art competitions were conducted.

4. The Integrity Pledge was taken all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the
school.
5. Communal harmony Week.
Under the guidance of The National Foundation for Communal Harmony, the
Communal Harmony Campaign week was celebrated from 19thNovember,2018 to
22nd November,2018.
24th November was celebrated as the Flag Day to spread the message of communal
harmony and national integration.
6. Teachers Day was celebrated on the 5th of September, 2018. Students of Class X
stepped into the shoes of the teachers for the day and they planned the activities,
assembly and teaching for the day.
7. Independence Day was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm. Shri Madan Rao,
Principal, AECS No.-2 unfold the national flag and gave the school community the
message for the day. The student speakers unlighted the patriotic fervour.
8. The Indo Russian Festival of Science and Culture Competition
KhusbooKhilnaney of Class 10 Y, AtharvaDeo Pujari of Class 9X and BhaswatMitra of
Class 8X got the first, second and third prizes in extempore. The quiz team of
PoorviPrasadof class 9 X, Priyanka Gupta of class 9 Z, DikshaBychapur of class 10 X,
Ananya Menon of class 10 Y and Dimple Gupta of class 10 Y bagged the first prize.
Aryaman of Class 9 X won the first prize in the Art Competition and Supriya of class
8 z and JiyaModak of class 7 X won the Consolation Prizes .
9. The Constitution Day

The Constitution Day was observed by the school on November 26, 2018. Students
were made aware of the importance of the constitution with a special emphasis on
the Preamble.
10. Hindi Pakwara: The Hindi Pakwara was organized in the school for students and
essay writing, poster making and slogan writing competitions were held in the
school.
1. Shri Vishwas Mane got the second prizes in the ‘kha’ Category;in Speech
Competition and ‘Kaavyapaath’
2. SmtMalatiMurgan got first prize in the ‘ga’ Category in‘KaavyaPaath’.
12. STAFF ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME

and Smt Seema Francis PRT SShave attended the second spell of Orientation
Programme conducted by ZIET, Mumbai from 26.12.2017 to 01.01.2018..
2. Shri V P Varghese, TGT SS attended the second spell of Orientation Programme
organized for TGTs by ZEIT at KV, Khadakvasla, Pune from 24th December,2018
to1st January,2018.
3. The aim of this programme was to make the teaching learning process more
effective and efficient.
Shri C. N. S Raghavan , Vice-Principal attended the training programme on Public
procurement from 18 to 23 june, 2018 at the National Institute of Financial
Management, Faridabad.

15. .GUEST LECTURES
1. Lectures were arranged for the students on the importance of hygiene. Dr
Mathura Kolekarfrom B.A.R.C. Hospital was invited for the same.
2. Mathematics Enrichment Session was organized by AEES on 23.10.2018.
Shri V.Sheshan, Ex Principal, AEES, presided over the session. He
highlighted the importance of Olympiads and guided the students on how
to prepare effectively for such exams. Separate sessions were arranged for
Class 9 and 10 on problem solving methods.

16. SUPERANNUATION
We bid farewell to:
1. Shri Badrinath Mishra, TGT- Selection Scale (Hindi),on attaining superannuation, on 31.07.2018.
2. Shri Madan Rao, Principal,on attaining superannuation on 30.09.2018.
We are fortunate to have a team of highly efficient and encouraging teaching and
non-teaching staff in our school.
We express our sincere gratitude to: - Shri S Sarkar, the Chairman, AEES, - Shri S.K. Malhotra, the Secretary,AEES, - All the members of the Governing Council, AEES, for their guidance and support.
I conclude this report, with the assurance to all that with due cooperation from our authorities at the central office, AEES, all stake holders and the Department of Atomic energy, no stone will be left unturned to take AECS No-2, Mumbai, to new heights and make it a crowning glory in the field of education in the years to come.
