Minutes Sue Jeglinski motioned to accept the minutes for

the March and April meetings as published in the ldquoAhoyrdquo

noting that Ben Haddenrsquos name is spelled incorrectly Yvonne

Gazelle seconded the motion was carried

Financial Report Finances are in good shape Currently

231 homes are paid

Website Update The website is ready to launch It will be

published in the next two editions of the ldquoAhoyrdquo There will

be a tear off sheet that people must return if they wish to con-tinue to receive a paper copy of the ldquoAhoyrdquo Additionally it

will be publicized on the unofficial Atlantis Facebook page and

in an email blast for those who provided their email to the di-

rectory

Yard and Bake Sale The yard and bake sales are sched-

uled for April 6th Amy Mahoney is chairing the bake sale and

Nancy McCamish is chairing the yard sale

Chairrsquos Discretion Steve Gindes attended a Merit Trial

with the lawyer for the HOA This legal action will allow the

lawyer to garnish the wages of a homeowner who has not

paid their dues

Ben Hadden has measured for the new ropes at the pier

and the park Manila rope will cost approximately $500 and poly rope (with the look of manila) will cost approximately

$960 but will last longer Sue Jeglinski moved to spend up

to $1500 to replace the ropes at the park and the pier This

will allow the rope to be replaced with the poly rope and to

purchase the necessary fasteners Elizabeth Cologer sec-

onded The motion was passed

There was a concern expressed about two houses on Nep-

tune that are raking their leaves into the street Residents are

reminded that the neighborhood does not provide leaf re-

moval Yvonne Gazelle will contact the county to see about

having the drain that has been clogged by these leaves Two cars parked in the neighborhood on the streets have

expired tags A resident will contact the police about these

vehicles

over ordering and installing the ropes at the pier and both

entrances to the big park Ben will pass on all of his research

to Eric Chairrsquos Discretion Yvonne Gazelle suggested that

Gerald Bechard fill the open member-at-large position on the

board Sue Jeglinski made a motion for this Ben Hadden

seconded and the motion was carried This term will run

until November 2015

Yard of the Month

Did you know that you could nominate a home for Yard of the Month I didnrsquot realize that until I took over as YOTM

Chairperson Had I known last year I would have nominated my neighbors at 1141 Neptune Place Many times I

have seen my neighbors hard at work in their yard and Irsquove often stood back to admire the view The yard has been a work in progress In November of 2011 the Dreiss Family had Stewarts expand their front gar-

den and put in a stack stone retaining wall Stewarts also put in some plants but not all have fared well Due to a heavy

amount of shade during the day the Dreissrsquo have had to find the right types of plants to put in their garden This year Jen Dreiss made her way to Papa Johnrsquos Nursery out in Severn MD Papa Johnrsquos has a nice set-up in

that at the entrance to each greenhouse they have a sign as to what types of plants are inside - sun shade or a combi-

nation of the two This year Jen decided on a mixture of Impatiens in white coral and pink Begonias in red pink and

orange and Torenias in purple She also picked up two hanging baskets of Thunbergia that are Susie orange with a

black eye Not to be missed is the basket of Superbells in lemon slice and Angel Mist in purple as well as the Ger-

bera Daisies closest to the house Jen stated ldquoIn the past wersquove only had impatiens This year we just tried to really

do a mix of bright colors and different flowersrdquo The Dreissrsquo hard work has paid off Not only do they have a beautiful front yard but as YOTM winners they have

also received a $25 gift card to Homestead Gardens If you feel that someone is deserving of YOTM please nomi-

Yard of the Month

Did you know that you could nominate a home for Yard of the Month I didnrsquot realize that until I took over as YOTM

Chairperson Had I known last year I would have nominated my neighbors at 1141 Neptune Place Many times I

have seen my neighbors hard at work in their yard and Irsquove often stood back to admire the view The yard has been a work in progress In November of 2011 the Dreiss Family had Stewarts expand their front gar-

den and put in a stack stone retaining wall Stewarts also put in some plants but not all have fared well Due to a heavy

amount of shade during the day the Dreissrsquo have had to find the right types of plants to put in their garden This year Jen Dreiss made her way to Papa Johnrsquos Nursery out in Severn MD Papa Johnrsquos has a nice set-up in

that at the entrance to each greenhouse they have a sign as to what types of plants are inside - sun shade or a combi-

nation of the two This year Jen decided on a mixture of Impatiens in white coral and pink Begonias in red pink and

orange and Torenias in purple She also picked up two hanging baskets of Thunbergia that are Susie orange with a

black eye Not to be missed is the basket of Superbells in lemon slice and Angel Mist in purple as well as the Ger-

bera Daisies closest to the house Jen stated ldquoIn the past wersquove only had impatiens This year we just tried to really

do a mix of bright colors and different flowersrdquo The Dreissrsquo hard work has paid off Not only do they have a beautiful front yard but as YOTM winners they have

also received a $25 gift card to Homestead Gardens If you feel that someone is deserving of YOTM please nomi-
