ADVANCE RESERVED SQUADDINGAND PRE CASHIERING
Pre-squadding will be available on the website at presquad.com beginning at 11:30am PST on December 3, 2016. Pre-squadding reservations will not be accepted after Sunday, February 12 and pre-cashiering must be in the Club’s hands by closing Monday, February 13, 2017. There will be a $2.00 pre-squadding charge per event per person.
1. With the exception of events 1 & 2, all positions reserved or pre-squadded for that day, but not cashiered, will be released one-half hour before the first event of the day. All pre-cashier monies are refundable for any reason until February 15, 2017, at which time they become non-refundable.
2. Pre-cashiering forms will be available by downloading them from presquad.com, tucsontrapandskeet.com or requesting the forms from the club. This simple form will have assigned squad/position and is to be filled out and returned along with entry fees and daily fees to avoid cashiering at the tournament. If only one address is supplied, it is the addressee’s responsibility to distribute the forms to the other squad members. Please note that pre-cashiering does not preclude you from bypassing the classification table prior to shooting.
3. To pre-cashier your reserved entry or your first day’s events, return the form with payment for the events noted on the pre-cashier form plus daily fees. If you elect to enter options, please clearly mark those desired and add the amounts. Your pre-cashiered entry will be rejected if payment is insufficient. At the club’s option, overpayments will be refunded at the tournament or mailed to the address on the request form.
4. Refund Policy: Target and option money will be refundable until February 15, 2017 at which time it will become non-refundable. Pre-squadding fees are non-refundable.
5. After you have been classified, squadded, and cashiered, you may pick up your receipt. The receipt will have your classification printed. Please check to see that it is correct. All pre-tournament cashiered entries are considered as your initial entry. Your entry is only valid if you have been classified. Subsequent changes to squads, positions and withdrawals are subject to the assigned fees per the program. All such changes will be processed only during regular hours at the tournament. The club reserves the right to cancel or reject, without refund, any or all multiple requests for reservations.

Welcome TO THE 41st ANNUAL PRELIMINARY ANDSPRING SATELLITE GRAND AMERICAN
The Executive Committee is most happy to present the program for the Preliminary and Spring Satellite Grand American.
1. There will be no Class advance until Event # 15.
2. Daily fees - ATA $3.00, ASTA $3.00
3. Pat Traps and voice pulls will be used on all fields.
4. All events will be shot 5 per post. The Club reserves the right to shoot events at 10 per post if necessary to accommodate all shooters.
5. All traps face North.
6. All Singles and Handicap shoot-offs will be on a 25-target basis and doubles will be on ten pair.
7. You may use your own shells, including reloads.
8. There are no compulsory purses.
9. There are two fifty’s options for all events.
10. The handicap table and cashier/squadding windows will open starting Tuesday, Feb-ruary 14 at noon and opening with cashiering windows subsequently.
11. There will be a Gun Club Fund Lewis Option in Saturday’s Singles Championship, and a Hall of Fame Contributor Award in Sunday’s Spring Grand Handicap.
12. ATA Officials and/or Executive Committee will make all program interpretations.
13. Central Handicap Committee member Danny McKenzie will be assisted by Gary Hill and Western Zone Delegates.
14. Pre-squadding service and cashier forms are available on the internet using the web address: www.presquad.com. Pre-cashier forms are also available at the web address: www.tucsontrapandskeet.com or call the club.
15. The high wheelchair shooter for each Spring Grand Championship Event and High All Around Event will receive a trophy for their accomplishments.

Hello Shooter, I would like to invite you to the 41st Spring Satellite Grand. This event will be February 20-26, 2017 at the Tucson Trap & Skeet Club in sunny Tucson, Arizona. Come warm up and experience all this event has to offer. It’s the oldest and largest of the Satellite Grands, and will have some great competition, as well as ATA Trophies and All-American Points. SHOOTER’S RESPONSIBILITY
ENTRY AND SHOOTING PROCEDURE1. Take your average card to the classification/handicap table immediately upon arrival.
Be sure a member of the Handicap Committee enters your classification, including handicap yardage and special category such as veteran, lady, etc., into the computer before you leave the table. It shall be the shooters responsibility to inform the handicap committee as to his or her category.
2. Once classified, proceed to the cashier window for entry and reservations. Pre-cashiered shooters can pick up their completed entry receipts and verify data before the start of the first event you have entered.
3. With the exception of events 1 & 2, all positions reserved or pre-squadded for that day, but not cashiered, will be released one-half hour before the first event of the day. All pre-cashier monies are refundable for any reason until February 15, 2017, at which time they become non-refundable.
4. The cashiers will accept no counter checks or second party checks. Checks are accepted in the amount of shooting fees only - No Exceptions. All entries must be made in U.S. funds.
5. No shooter will be allowed to make up more than 50 targets on the practice traps if he/she has missed the squad. If you are unable to join your squad before they have started their third twenty five, you must be re-squadded. All make-ups for missed squads or gun repairs report to the practice trap area within 15 minutes of when the last squad takes the line for that event.
6. By entering the competition, every person agrees to accept all official decisions and to abide by ATA rules.
7. Be ready to shoot. Squads will not wait for tardy members. If you miss your squad, report to the office and be re-squadded on a later squad. If no squad is available, a shooter forfeits all entry and option money.
8. In case of a gun breakdown, a shooter will be allowed five (5) minutes for repair or replacement.
9. Please check your score before leaving each post. The squad captain (#1 shooter) will check the total the score after each sub event and initial the score sheet before leaving the trap. Errors made in totaling shall be corrected whenever discovered. All changes will be made in strict accordance with ATA rules.
10. All information needed to award trophies, award monies, and file ATA shoot reports is taken from the score sheets, so be sure all information is correct.
11. The use of transportation vehicles, such as motorized carts and motorbikes, with the exception of wheelchairs, or other means of transportation for truly handicapped persons, will not be permitted on the sidewalks or immediate area at any time for any purpose. The sole exception to this rule will be utilization of golf carts by shoot management. Shoot management will minimize the use of golf carts whenever possible and ensure the use of above vehicles is enforced.

PRACTICE
Practice traps will open Tuesday, February 14 at 8:00 A.M. and daily during the tournaments. Practice tickets will be sold at the practice house window.
Practice fields are subject to use for tournament shooting at management’s discretion.
SHOOT-OFFS
All ties will be carried over to final championship events with the exception of the Friday, February 24, Preliminary Handicap Championship Event # 22. After the completion of event #22, a shoot off will be held for all handicap ties and carry-overs. Handicap ties will be shot off the day of the event if a yardage advance is applied to only one shooter. Any shooter who ties for any trophy and can not attend the next day’s event for carry overs will forfeit. Shooters will receive three five minute calls for shoot-offs. No response, shooter will forfeit.
RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Should you win or tie for a class in any 16-yard or doubles event, or earn yardage in any handicap event, it shall be your responsibility to report to the classification/handicap counter to have your classification reviewed or yardage increased. Shooters winning or tying for class in Event #15 through #20 will be advanced at least one class. Any shooter whose class or yardage is changed for any reason shall be considered to be notified when the new class or yardage is posted on the bulletin board. In all events that include class advances, all shooters (regardless of category) with scores that equal or exceed the score of the class champion will be advanced starting with the next like event.
2. Any shooter failing to carry out rule 1 above or who shoots in a class or from a yardage higher or lower than assigned will be subject to disqualification and will not be eligible to share in any money division or be eligible for trophies.
3. A shooter may not win more than one ATA trophy in the same event. 4. At all tournaments where All American points will be awarded, in any event, shooters
may declare only one (1) category (i.e., Lady 1, Lady 2, Sub-Junior, Junior, Junior Gold, Sub-Veteran, Veteran, Senior Veteran or Chair-Shooter). Any shooter who is tied for event Champion may shoot-off/carryover for the Championship trophy. If a shooter fails in the Championship trophy shoot-off/carry-over and has declared a Special Category, at classification, the shooter will fall back to his/her declared Category. Any

shooter who has declared a Special Category at Classification and whose score only qualifies him/her for any trophy in his/her declared Category will compete for the Category trophy and not for place, class or yardage group. Any Category shooter whose score doesn’t qualify for a trophy in his/her Category may compete for place, class or yardage group.
5. There will be no class advance until event # 15.6. Refund Policy: Target money will not be refunded once cashiered. Option money can be
refunded until the start of the event at which time it becomes non-refundable. Pre-cashiered money is refundable for any reason until February 15, 2017, at which time it becomes non-refundable.
7. The target setting committee shall set targets each morning or during event changes based on predicted weather conditions and in accordance with ATA rules. Once targets have been set, only field supervisors have authority to change them. Target speed will be set by a radar gun and will be maintained uniformly on all traps. Changes will be made only if targets have become illegal or vary appreciably from original setting.
8. The management shall appoint a judge or judges to be called upon as the occasions arise. The scorer must call upon a judge to settle any controversy regarding a score or when the scorer has made an error by being ahead or behind in scoring.
CLASSIFICATION AND HANDICAP
Shooters who do not have a combined total of 1,000 16 yard targets registered with the ATA in the current and previous year will be advanced at least one class or more at the discretion of the classification committee. Shooters without an established average will be placed in class B or higher at the discretion of the classification committee.

Shooters who do not have a total of 1000 handicap targets registered with the ATA in the current and previous year will be assigned to the 23 yard line or their regular handicap yardage, whichever is greater. Handicap target requirements will be waived for declared Senior-Vets, making them eligible for trophies and monies. Any participant who fails to meet the minimum handicap target requirements as described will be allowed the choice of shooting “Targets Only” from their assigned yardage provided they waive and forfeit all rights to options, purses, added money and trophies including HOA and HAA trophies.
Shooters are required to have their 16-yard and Doubles averages computed for use by the Handicap Committee. Any shooter holding a card of another association will be classified at the yardage and class which is the greatest of these cards. The Handicap Committee reserves the right to change a shooters classification at any time it deems necessary.

PURSES AND OPTIONS Purses and options are not compulsory. No changes or withdrawals will be allowed after the event has started. No part of option money is held out. Payoff sheets for events 1-23 will be posted and the payoff sheet for event 24 will be mailed. It will be the responsibility of all purse and option winners to report their winnings to the IRS. Checks not cashed within 90 days will become void. Any shooter wishing to shoot “targets only” may do so and not be subjected to minimum target requirements. “Targets only” shooters waive and forfeit all rights to options, purses, added money and trophies including HOA and HAA.
SOLICITING No soliciting, selling of chances, or similar activities will be allowed on the grounds, nor shall any literature of any kind be distributed on the grounds without prior written approval by the ATA and Club.
SALES AND DISTRIBUTION No soliciting, selling or distribution of shot shells or any types of goods or wares is allowed on the club premises without express written permission of the Tucson Trap and Skeet Club. Violators will be removed from the premises. This rule will be strictly enforced.
SHELLS Tucson Trap and Skeet will have most popular loads for sale by the box or case. Rental of vendor space does not constitute authority to sell shells on the grounds.

EMPTY SHELLS Picking up empty shells from the ground during or after shooting is not permitted.
NOTICE The Tucson Trap and Skeet Club will not be liable or accept responsibility for any guns bought, sold or traded on our property at any time.
CAMPING We now offer full hookups with 50 amp service at all pedestals. Reservations are required for all shooting events and may be made by calling 520 883-6426, ext. 255, or sending an e-mail to the RV Coordinator at [email protected]. Fees are assessed on a per shoot basis only. Please check in with the RV desk upon arrival and before setting up. Evidence of a sticker must be conspicuously displayed in the window of your RV. Club membership is required for RV camping. Membership fees may be purchased at the pro shop window. If there is sufficient demand, there will be a vendor truck to fill propane tanks. Please check with the office for this service.
UPON ARRIVAL All campers with a RV please report to the clubhouse prior to parking and setting up your RV to confirm the status of your location and directions to your RV parking place. The Club reserves the right to change RV locations in the event of unforeseen problems beyond our control.
NOTICE By the act of classifying and participating, each shooter becomes a guest and indicates they assume and accept full responsibility for themselves and their minor children, for bodily injury, death, or loss of personal property and expenses as a result of inherent risks and dangers.
LIVE MUSIC AND STEAK DINNER The Club will be providing live music on Friday, February 24 for your enjoyment. There will be a dinner available on Saturday, February 25 at the club.
ATA 100 OR 200 STRAIGHT PINS Shooters breaking 100 or 200 straight without carryover will be eligible for an ATA 100 or 200 straight pin. Only one such pin will be awarded to any individual. Please inquire at the Trophy Room. The Tucson Trap & Skeet club will also be offering the “Thunderbird”, a beautiful silver and turquoise pin, for a 100 straight in any scheduled 100-target event. This is a one-time award and previous winners are not eligible.
ANNOUNCEMENTThis Program will govern the Tournament. The Amateur Trapshooting Association

rules will govern all points not otherwise provided for. The Executive Committee reserves the absolute right, in its sole discretion, at any time prior to or during this Tournament to change or modify the program in any manner it desires.
DISQUALIFICATIONThe management reserves the right to refuse any entry or disqualify anyone who interferes with or disturbs the harmony of this shoot in any manner.
SCORESScores are final for purse and option calculation one (1) hour after event is completed. Subsequent to this deadline scores will be corrected for ATA record purposes only.
GUN CLUB LEWIS OPTION – EVENT #23Deserving gun Clubs nationwide have benefited from the ATA Gun Club Fund for the past several years. These funds must be used to improve the facilities and programs at clubs and recipients are determined by the Executive Committee each year at the Grand American. Half of your $20 entry into the Gun Club Lewis option will be placed in the fund and the other half will be paid out in three Lewis Divisions, split 60/40%.

ATA HALL OF FAME CONTRIBUTOR PURSE AND AWARDNot Compulsory
The $20.00 fee for this award is a 50% tax-deductible donation to the Hall of Fame. This donation provides support to our museum and to the many worthy projects undertaken by the Hall of Fame. All donors will qualify for the Hall of Fame Award. Your entry card shows this contribution and is your receipt. The Hall of Fame will retain 50% of the donation while the remainder will constitute the portion to be awarded. Monies will be paid out in three Lewis Classes, 60/40 high gun in each class. The high score in the event will receive a Shamrock Leathers specially crafted oak and leather wall clock suitably engraved. Note: Any ties will be resolved at the shoot managers’ discretion.

The Satellite Grand American HAA champions from the ten tournaments during the 2017 target year will be eligible to shootoff for the 2017 Kolar National Satellite Grand Championship Trophy on Friday, August 4 immediately following Event 9, the Kolar Doubles. The initial round of this shoot off will include 20 Singles, 10 Handicap, 10 Pair Doubles and 10 Pair 27 yard Doubles targets. If necessary, subsequent shoot off rounds will be 10 Pair 27 yard Doubles.
