THE CEDAR SUITE

The elegant and luxuriously stylish Cedar Suite has a private entrance, large ornate windows offering an abundance of natural light and French doors opening onto a secluded walled garden. The Cedar Suite boasts its own servicing bar and adjacent quiet room. Holding up to 100 people seated for your civil ceremony, 80 people for your wedding breakfast and 150 people for your evening reception, the Cedar Suite provides the perfect setting for your

wedding day.

CEDAR GARDEN

Amidst the tranquil manicured grounds of Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa lies the hidden gem of the beautiful Cedar Garden, the perfect choice for an outside wedding ceremony. Surround yourself in our quintessential English walled garden with its evocative colours, floral scents and the romantic backdrop of the traditional handmade oak pavilion. The Cedar Garden can accommodate up to 100 people seated and is one of only a few venues in Hampshire licensed

for outdoor wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships.

THE LOUNGE

Located in the original Manor section of the hotel, the Lounge is full of traditional English character. Features include a high wood panelled ceiling with original oak beams and exposed brickwork. Along with the impressive Inglenook fireplace, the Lounge is a warm, relaxing haven, rich with natural textures and a relaxing ambiance, holding up to 100 people (60 seated) for

your civil ceremony.

THE BEECH ROOM

The Beech room is perfect for a more intimate wedding. Licensed for up to 50 people seated for your civil ceremony the room benefits from an abundance of natural daylight and direct

access to the Lounge.

Wedding Breakfast function suitesManor SuiteThe Manor Suite is elegant, sophisticated and airy. With French windows which open onto the private, south facing courtyard garden, the attention to detail, candle sconces and seating for 100 guests make this the ultimate country wedding room. The Manor Suite can only hold the Wedding Breakfast and will not incur a room hire if your meal finishes around 6.00pm. For a meal carrying over this time a room hire may apply.

Cedar SuiteThe Cedar Suite seats up to 80 guests and benefits fromits own private entrance. The large ornate windows give the room a naturally bright feel and inviting ambience, with French doors opening onto the private terrace area this suite makes the perfect wedding and evening function room.

evening functionThe Cedar Suite is licensed for a bar and music until 11.00pm and is the only function suite available for your evening party/reception. The cost of the room is £600 for 2018/2019 including the provision of a private bar, adjoining quiet room and private walled garden. We are unfortunately not able to offer an extension of time.

accommodation The hotel will not reserve any accommodation unless pre agreed with the wedding coordinator.

On the night of your wedding, we are happy to offer 5 Double Manor bedrooms at the discounted rate of £155 B&B per

room Sunday to Thursday for 2018 and £160 for 2019. Friday or Saturday room rates from and £195 B&B per room for 2018 and £200 for 2019. These rooms are not suitable for families.

For Friday weddings, additional bedrooms can be booked for one night at our best available rate.

For a wedding on a Saturday or bank holiday, we are also happy to reserve extra 5 double bedrooms at the hotel’s standard tariff for a one night stay. Additional bedrooms will need to be booked for 2 nights.

Prices are based on 2 people sharing the room. Restrictions apply over bank holiday weekends.

cateringWedding Breakfast costs start from £40 for 2018/£42 for 2019. Create your own package from our selection or alternatively consider our Celebration package.

We can accommodate up to 150 people for your evening reception and are happy to cater for just 80% of guests attending, prices starting from £20. The minimum number of guests charged for a wedding reception on a Friday, Saturday and Bank-holiday Sunday is 60 adults. Minimum numbers may not apply on other days. The Hotel must provide all the catering but you are welcome to provide your own wine. Our normal corkage fee will apply. All our prices are inclusive of VAT.

timingShould you choose to hold your Wedding Breakfast in the Manor Suite, we would recommend a start time of no later than 3.30pm to avoid the room hire charge. To ensure that you allow sufficient time for your Reception, we would

advise that you discuss your timings with our Wedding Co-ordinator.

You will need to take into consideration your travelling from Church to the Hotel (if applicable), the Drinks Reception and Group Photographs at the Hotel, and a receiving line to greet your guests before the Wedding Breakfast.

confettiThe hotel has a no confetti policy except for table decoration. For photos in our grounds we suggest Eco-Fetti (water soluble confetti) or bubbles in replacement of disposable or petal confetti.

Live musicThe hotel allows live music throughout the day in the private function facilities but we will ask you not to have amplified music during the drinks reception as this is taken place in the hotel’s public areas.

According to legend, one of Queen Victoria’s ladies-in waiting, Anna Maria Stanhope, known as the Duchess of Bedford, is credited as the creator of afternoon teatime. Because the noon meal had become skimpier, the Duchess suffered from a “sinking feeling” at about four o’clock in the afternoon. She invited friends to join her for an additional afternoon meal at five o’clock in her rooms at BelvoirCastle.

This summer practice proved so popular, the Duchess continued it when she returned to London. Other social hostesses quickly picked up on the idea and the practice became respectable enough to move it into the drawing room. Before long all of fashionable society was gathering sipping tea and nibbling sandwiches and cakes in the middle of the afternoon. The client is responsible for any loss or damage caused to Hotel property/equipment or any equipment hired to the client, by the client or the client’s guests.

4. Finishing Times

Functions must finish at the time agreed when bookingand extension of time may not be possible.

5. Wines

If wine is not purchased from the Hotel for the Reception, the Management reserves the right to charge a supplementary charge.

6. Numbers Attending

On the enclosed agreement is shown the number of attendees including the Bride and Groom at the Wedding Reception. The minimum number of guests charged for on a Saturday, either in our Manor Suite or Cedar Suite is 60 adults. Minimum numbers may not apply to Mid week or Sunday Weddings. This is the minimum number that will be charged for. An increase in numbers may be possible. Final chargeable numbers will be those advised 48 hours prior to the function.

7. Payment Terms For Wedding Receptions

b) 25% of anticipated account nine months prior toWedding Reception.

8. Cancellations

Should you have to cancel your booking notificationmust be received by the hotel in writing. The hotel will charge a % of the total anticipated booking value based on the agreed numbers on your signed agreement form according to the following notice period given:

The Hotel will undertake re-let the function room(s) with similar catering arrangements for the same date. The Client will be responsible for the loss incurred by the Hotel in the event that the function rooms remain unoccupied, or are occupied at a lower income level for the Hotel, on the date booked. The cancellation charges imposed by the Hotel will, therefore, reflectthe actual revenue loss. Any postponement of confirmed and contracted business will be treated as acancellation.

9. Cancellation By hotel

The Hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking if:

a) Any part of the Hotel is closed or unavailablebecause of any event beyond the Hotel’s control.

b) If the Client is more than 30 days in arrears with anypayment due to the hotel.

c) The booking may, in the reasonable opinion of theHotel, damage the reputation of the Hotel.

d) Either party becomes insolvent.

If, during the wedding, the Client uses the grounds for any activities other than photographs, socialising, e.g. wishes to provided a bouncy castle, the Client isexpected to furnish the Hotel with the details of thatactivity and, where appropriate, for providing a safesystem of work in writing at least 14 days before arrival toallow the Hotel Management to assess the Health andSafety implications of such activities.
